I want to buy a tappered shaft, and i want to know which is the best... i have four options :

the easton synthesis shaft
the synthesis grip
the novius pro
the louisville R2

which is the best of them ?

Thanks for all.

of them? The Novius, by far.

Then I'd have to say the R2, followed by the Eastons.

BUT if you can get your hands on a Mission Flyweight, that's the best tapered shaft ever made. Period.

For Roller, I'd say teh R2, cuz I've heard that the Response was found and rated the best stick for roller, so go with that shaft and throw on an R2 blade or an Inno tapered. If you can find an old T-Flex, they're tight too: but stick with the Innovative Flyweight, R2, and T-Flex, in my humble opinion, but I can't speack for the Flyweight; just going on reputation. Don't get any of the old T-Flex wood blades that might be lying around; WAY dried out.

What's the tapered advantage? I have a synergy I bought cause it's light and it might have jumped my MPH up 7-10 mph on my slap shot over the griplite I was using. I just attributed it to weight and construction.

Yes, i know, i had a Mission flyweight shaft and i love them, but now is broken, and i must to buy another because i can't find a new one, and for buying a used shaft, i'm not sure of it...

Right after I go and have flyweights shipped from florida, my LHS goes and slashes the price on the remaining flyweights to 60 bucks.

The shaft tapers towards the bottom; it gets thinner as it approaches the blade hosel, lowering teh kickpoint of that shft and usually giving you more feel for the puck. It would take a calculus equation to describe it, but it flexes more the closer it gets to the bottom of the shaft. And since they have less material, tapered shafts are generally lighter than standard counterparts.

it is the same concept as one piece sticks (synergy,vector,M-1, Response etc.) They are all tapered at the bottom to lower the kick point and increase velocity. Not to mention a 10mph jump in a shot is alot for just simply changing what stick you use.

The new Mission M2 is their current tapered shaft... supposedly as good as the flyweight.... we'll see.

i've readed that the M2 is the normal shaft like the M1 OPS, and the L2 (red one shaft) is the tappered shaft, someone tolds to me that in one month aprox we can see it in shops...

I wait until this shaft comes out to buy the tappered shaft :).
