• Chico Inline Hockey Team Wins High School Title

    The Chico varsity inline hockey team won the Sierra Inline Hockey League High School Championship in Woodland, California. Chico beat Davis 4-2.

    Jason Novak had two goals and one assist, Connor Melton and Gabe Wackerman each added a goal and one assist, and Bryan Bruckman had an assist. They defeated Antioch 3-0. Wackerman had two goals and an assist, Dylan Golet added a goal and one assist and Novak had two assists. In the title game, Chico beat Antioch 8-0. Wackerman had three goals and two assists, Melton and Novak each added two goals and one assist apiece, and Golet had a goal. Charlie Robinson goaltended all three games.

    JV team goes 12-0

    The Chico junior varsity team won the Sierra Inline Hockey League High School Championship in Woodland to finish the season 12-0. Chico beat Livermore 7-0. Will Robinson scored four goals and Keaton Smith had two. They defeated Davis 5-1. Austin Garnett scored two goals and Robinson, Garrett Riedlinger and Devan Barley each had one. In the title game Chico again beat Davis 7-1. Robinson and Smith scored two goals apiece, and Barley, Garnett and Josh Bedsaul all scored one goal. Goaltender Zach Rominek only surrendered two goals.
