State Wars Northern California Tryouts 2012

The Silver Creek Sportsplex is without a doubt one of the most incredible facilities in the country, boasting three beautiful hockey rinks and an incredible youth structure. Hats off to Terry Peckham and his staff who continue to set the bar. State Wars Hockey is very excited to once again be holding its Northern California tryout here. Last year was the first time State Wars was opened up to Team Northern California and the feedback was outstanding. It was great to get to know many of the great coaches, players, and families in the northern part of the state. We look forward to continuing to grow the State Wars brand in Northern California.

Last year Northern California fielded teams in the 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, and 2001 birth years!

A big thank you goes out to the Northern California volunteers who acted as coaches or team managers last summer, especially Mark Steichen, Brenda Brenner, Joel & Kelli Malinowski, Brett Clark, Denise Naro, Tony Dal Canto, Diana Sanchez, Doug MacDonald, Alex Zeltser, and Rebecca Selden, . We also know that you along with many of the parents are a big part of helping promote State Wars to the players up North so again THANK YOU.

The Northern California tryout is being held Sunday April 1st. Yes there is a NARCh regional that weekend as well at the Silver Creek Sportsplex, NARCh and State Wars are huge supporters of one another and we will be working out the schedule together to insure that there are no conflicts that Sunday... so no worries. Please continue to play that weekend with your club team if you planned to and also make sure you register online for the State tryout. If you have never been to State Wars before, trust us you are missing out big time! Make sure you get registered NOW!

All players are welcome at tryout, of all ages and skill levels. We look to field two teams in each birth year at tryouts, so there is a spot for everyone. We don't care what club you play for, what facility you play at, or who you "support" in the industry...State Wars Hockey is all about the players and growing the sport of roller hockey. So come on out to the Silver Creek Sportsplex on April 1st and tryout for Team Northern California... unless you're scared.

The 2012 tryout date is set for Sunday April 1st at the Silver Creek Sportsplex. Make sure you sign up online for the appropriate division. This year we are going to continue our RISK FREE policy. All players who do not make their state teams will have their tryout money reimbursed.

So yes if you tryout and do not make the team, you still receive a FREE State Wars Hockey tryout jersey, two hours of rink time, evaluations from unbiased selection committee, and chance to see where you stack up against other players your age.
