The Myrtle Beach Roller Hockey League has a great new program that should prove to bring lots of new young players into our great sport. Check out the details about the MBRHL:
The members of the administrative, coaching and instruction staff: Benny Baldonado, Cam Donoghue, Bruce Wilkinson, Wayne Fussaro, Bruce O’ Handley, Doug Jones, Rick Rahner, Ian Hirsch, Jeff King, Drew Morgan, Andrew Marino, Jim Vest, Nathan Montgomery, (CCU liason), Chris Hyatt.
Mission statement: To provide an atmosphere for anyone to play the game regardless of experience or skill. To offer competent coaches to work with players of all skill ages and to have FUN.
We simply run our program with volunteers who are passionate about the sport and game. With our program children 17 and under play for “FREE” provided they have USA Hockey insurance (absolutely required) before being placed on a team.
We will offer the following:
Skills clinics with CCU Chanticleer players and other professionals
Youth hockey practices with coaches on skates, controlled scrimmages and games
Adult play in novice, tier 2 and tier 1
Our season begins April 15th, Saturday and is a 10-week session
5pm – 5:30pm 10 and under evaluations, parent meeting
5:30 – 6:00pm 12 and under evaluations, parent meeting
6:00 – 6:30pm 14 and under evaluations, parent meeting

Week two Practice with all players
Week three controlled scrimmage
Week four Practice ˝ hour, controlled scrimmage ˝ hour
Week five controlled scrimmage

April 16, Sunday Adult league begins
6:00pm $500 per team, or $65 per player
Tier 1, Tier 2 and Coed
All games are two 20 minutes halves, last 5 minutes stopped time within 2 goals.
10 games plus playoffs
All monies collected after the game officials are paid in full for the adult league and trophies, will be donated to the “State Wars” program to help defray costs for all State Wars participants on the Adult “AA”, mite (9, 10) and the squirt (11, 12 ) year old programs.
Friday night beginning April 14th, CCU Clinics 6 – 7pm “learn from a Chanticleer”
6pm - 7pm Skills competition clinic – See how you improve each week by attending this skills clinic!
Fastest skaters, top snipers, obstacles and accuracy drills set to help you become faster, a better sniper and unbelievable hands! The best part is all of this is absolutely “FREE” to children 17 and under!
