WELCOME TO STATE CUP 2011
The preeminent annual tournament for Scholastic Roller Hockey Teams in California.
Hosted by the Interscholastic Hockey Federation (IHF) and held at the 949 Roller Hockey Center, this AAU sanctioned event invites Scholastic Roller Hockey Teams to compete for the perennial State Cup - a California Classic! High School and Middle School teams from across California will compete for school pride and The Cup!
Who Is Eligible?
Any team representing a California School, public or private, is eligible to enter a High School or Middle School Roller Hockey team. Teams will consist of players in the sixth through 8th grade for Middle School and ninth through twelfth grade levels for High School divisions. Players must be a student who is currently enrolled and attending classes at the High School or Middle School represented by his or her team. Players must be able to provide a current and valid school ID at registration. (See Rules for details and/or exceptions).
What Are The Skill Divisions?
High School and Middle School Teams will be competing in five divisions and this tournament:
Varsity - Elite, Advanced Skill Teams
Junior Varsity 1 - Intermediate to Advanced Skill Teams
Junior Varsity 2 - Beginner to Intermediate Skill Teams
Frosh-Soph - Open to Freshmen and Sophomores Only
Middle School / Junior High
No school can have more than one team in a single division unless approved by the Tournament Directors. Final placement of a team is at the discretion of the Tournament Directors. All Divisions open to Co-op / Combo teams [Teams comprised of one or more players from more than one school and as certified by their respective league].
What is the Cost?
Tournament fee is $549 and guarantees three games (pending number of registered teams in a division). Fees are due by 5:00 p.m., Friday, February 25.
What Forms Are Needed?
Except for AAU membership, all forms for this tournament have been included with this packet. Please refer to the pages that follow for Tournament Registration, Team Roster, and Official Rules.
How Do I Register?
Simple, please read, complete (in typed form) and return the Tournament Registration form and Team Roster form along with payment information by Fax to: (949) 559-9948 by or before Feb. 25.
