I finally got a synergy. I got a Drury Curve. The synergys are not designd for short people are they. I had to cut about the entire but end off. Has anyone else noticed this.

Definitley!! That's why I can't get one. I am 5'10 but I like a really short stick, about 4 1/2 inches below my chin and nobody makes the one peice sticks short enough. Especially since an intermediate one breaks within 2 weeks of getting it!
Pssst!!!! (guys - you are allowed to cut them down) - they work fine. The reason they make them long is so that you can adjust them as needed - if they made them shorter then all the tall guys would be on here complaining.

I am 6'1 and still use intermidiate Synergy's, I cant get used to a SR. lenght yet, luckily I dont break them that quickly though.

I dont like cutting my shafts because whenever I do that it seems like I grow enough where they are too small. I did that a few years ago with about 6 junior shafts then I grew about 6 inches and they were way too small. lol

Okay, so my synergy is over 3 years old, and on it's fourth blade, but Caitlin's is less than a year...
...and the dang blades are wearing out on the bottom edge! Caitlin's original blade heel looked like she had been playing with it outdoors, it was so bad. Now, an Easton flex replacement blade is doing the same thing...
Admittedly, I use my stick about 450 hours per year, and Caitlin is up over 850...I wonder if the stick blades are "rated" for durability on Sportcourt by anybody?
Is this general knowledge, or some new problem, or what?
Anybody?

Danny,
Check the Easton web site. I am not sure if they do or not but my Mission shafts have a wearability rating on the as well as a stiffness. My M-1s don't I don't think but my 2 piece shafts do. It is a common prob though cause I go through it with all my 1 piece sticks to.. on both the ice a the Sport court so its definately a stick thing..
My son's sticks never seem to last long enough to be "outgrown" and he cuts them down and uses them without a "butt" insert in them - so if he ever wanted to make them longer again he can add "three inches" without even making the stick take any supplements/wtimages/icons/wink.gif.
