I'm sure information has been posted on here at some point about what it takes to build a roller hockey rink, but I wanted to get some fresh perspective. We are currently talking with the Administration at the University of Maryland about the possibility of building a roller hockey facility of some kind on campus. They have asked me to look into the size/materials/cost/maintenance, etc. of such a facility. I honestly have no idea what the cost differences are between what I guess would be the cheapest (a solely outdoor facility with boards and an asphalt surface) and the most expensive (indoor, enclosed facility with full boards and glass and a sport court or ice court surface). Can anyone give me information and estimates about the above noted issues. We would definitely be leaning toward a near-regulation size rink with a real surface such as sport or ice court. Thanks.
