My friend just e-mailed me and said he thinks the new Pro League will be called Speed Hockey! 3 on 3 with goalie and the rink is smaller with the goals recessed into the boards like Indoor Soccer. Lots of scoring and action. Played indoors and not like Pro Beach was with ramps - and they should have TV since game borders on "extreme".

He thinks they are having a Big Exhibition Series later this year and Pro Teams with BIG money for 2004 in 10 to 12 cities. First game in So.Cal and others in Philly, St.Louis. amd possibly Detroit or Miami.

They have supposively lined up many of the top inline players for Tour and are going to make big announcement in May. Sounds like a super opportunity for us Inline Players since he thinks the season will be June to November!!!!!!

Goals Recessed into the boards? That has to be a joke, I cannot fathom how goaltenders would be able to play. That also posses a safety hazard when players travel at high speeds to the net.

That doesn't sound like roller hockey at all. Why change the sport around? If everyone keeps trying to make new pro leagues and new rules .. where is Roller Hockey going to go? It's never going to be stable and have standard rules as this.

Also, nets recessed in the boards .. sounds like a joke. Roller hockey already has high scoring, why is it so important that it goes higher than usual?

I'm with Phubar...sheesh, it would really be nice to have a set of regional leagues where the game was the thing being marketed, with stable, reasonable, financial operation parameters, giving the players the chance to show both the educated fan, and the potential, being-educated fan, just how great this game can be.

8 regional leagues, each with 4-8 teams would host a regular season (minimum 20 games; 10 home/10 away) , and league playoffs. could then organize a 3-out-of-5 set of series playoffs (quarters/semi's/finals) at the end of it all between the league champions, for the Pro national championship.

Everybody would have to get on the bandwagon, and stop scr***ing with the game itself. Let the guys play, for crimenies' sake...

The season, by the way, is from April through June, playoffs in July...if you want the summer crowd, you finish before kids go back to school!

(Have the current MLRH teams signed some non-compete clause, preventing them from throwing out the whole shebang, if they wanted to, and joining/starting over with a different tack???)

Anybody who disagrees can do so...but I'm right...thanks for listening...
