Who would like to see a blind test of all the one piece sticks out there? Im willing to bet that brand loyalty is even more an issue here than it is on wheels. I've tried just about all of the top sticks out there and there isnt that big of a difference between them.. I am however noticing that all of the graphite/ composite products out there aren't lasting nearly as long as they used to no matter who the manufacturer, anyone else noticed this? I rememner once upon a time when z-bubbles, cyclones, and ultra-lites used to last upward of a year.. now, I cant get any stick to last me longer than 3 months max.. whats up w/ that? Is this being done intentionally to make more money now that there's the one-piece you dont have to buy a new blade constantly? The companies used to make all of their money on blade sales because everyone had shafts, now everyone is buying one pieces made out of the same material, why arent they lasting just as long as the shafts used to? Just my observation, anyone else think so?

Hey Superstar you don't have to tell me. 3 months are you kiddin me? I'll be lucky if I get through a weekend tourney with a stick. On a good tourney I'll go through 2 sticks. I'm snappin the Bauers like toothpicks. Try the new CCM, I used it for the first time last week and I get a bullet with it and it seems pretty solid. I know it looks kind of cheap with the thin blade it has but give it a try. It's by far the best one piece I've used so far. Another stick you might want to try is the Sande one piece. It comes out in June I believe. It's an actual one piece stick.

I hardly never snap shafts, its very odd. Its usually like 3 months, for a shaft with continous play.

Right now I'm a pretty big fan of the Z-Bubble grip/Focus Flex blade combo...... but I've still got a Vector I use from time to time.

I'm still a huge fan of the TPS Response, but I figured I'd give the Vector a shot...

Not a big fan of the bauer one piece, although the new ones are much better than the originals......

Thanks, I may try it. Right now Im on the Bauer Tri-flex and the mission M1.. blade patter is a big concern w/ me as well. I dont like big curves or twists in the blade.. need a mid curve w/ a closed face.. lindros and bure patterns are perfect, modano is ok.

I hear ya buddy, I'm also a huge fan of the z-bubble or I was anyway. I was snapping them weekly right at the bottom where the stick changes shape. Well lets just say Easton just wasn't hearing it anymore. They didn't want to replace my sticks anymore so I switched to Bauer which performance wise I liked it alot. But once again started snapping them like toothpicks, usually on the blade now on the shaft. So I just started using the Vector which so far seems pretty solid but who knows I have a game tonight. This could all change later...lol.

Also I forget who was asking but if your using the Lindros Bauer I would say try the Reechi Vector they're pretty close.

People are starting to find out the weak point on the one-piece shaft. A good whack near the fuse point in the shaft can break or severely weaken it. When people start breaking them on shots, the stick was mostly likely taking a beating in that area. I use a Synergy and haven't had my shaft snapped yet*knock on wood*. Although I have watched my friend go through three; breaking all around the same area on the shaft(the fuse point). Fortunately these companies are nice enough to give us a 30 day warranty.
