The St. Louis Blues traded defenseman Mike Van Ryn to Florida for Valeri Bure and a conditional fifth-round pick in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

Van Ryn, 23, was member of the national champion University of Michigan team in 1998, and signed as a free agent with St. Louis in 2000. He suffered a major shoulder injury in the first game of the 2000 season. This year, he has played in 20 games for the Blues, getting three assists and a plus-3 rating.

What inline hockey team at did Van Ryn play for at NARCh?

It was a Canadian team, either: the Mission Maple Leafs or Canadians. I can't remember. I think it was the later.

Guess I created a bad question, especially if Van Ryn played for more than one NARCh team. I remembered Team Rival.

He led the Junior division in scoring when he was playing with the Mission Jr Canadians.
