I am a fan of the game of roller hockey and I have followed all the teams in college roller hockey. I live in Detroit so I attended almost all of the games this past weekend. I was very interested in the match-up of Michigan St. versus Lindenwood. At the game at the Jewish center I wondered why there was no call on Lindenwood for stalling but after the game I asked the ref if there was a rule on that and he told me there was no delay of game. After hearing that information I remembered seeing the Purdue coach climbing on a chair and harrassing the ref that Lindenwood should move the puck. Shouldn't a coach first know the rules or have enough class not to be leaning over the glass yelling at a referee during a game that he is not involved in. Was the championship game a little disappointing, maybe a little I guess I could of asked for a refund on my ticket, but it seems to me that Lindenwood realized that they could win by sitting behind thier net and they did just that. Looking through the program I saw the Michigan States coach was the coach for the first team all region team, I guess you can insert your own joke here. But my concern would be that the "coach of the year" would be able to come up with a game plan to help his team win. I fell bad the for the guys on Michigan State, it seems to me that there coach did not have enough confidence in them to win the game. From my vantage point, it seems he was more interested in starting the wave with his players than helping his team win a national championship.

Anyways, there was some great games this past weekend. Purdue versus Michigan St., the improved play of Eastern Michigan, Michigan's comeback against Eastern, the highest scoring game of Ohio ST. versus Purdue. The tournament was fun and congrats to all the guys involved.
