Every once in a while, ya gotta take a step back from yourself and look around...

I have to say, to every reader, and especially contributor, to this discussion board medium, that this is one of the most positive things to come along in inline hockey in quite a while.

I have had some major electronic disagreements with a couple of individuals in the past few days, and I need to say, that this discussion board is the greatest way to hash these things out I have ever seen.

I want to say congratulations, and even thanks! to all the individuals that I have had the privilege to talk to over this board. Even those, and maybe especially those guys that have disagreed with me, who have entered into the argument with the gloves off, and I believe that we all come out better for it. I know I have.

After the last volley is fired, you still think about where you might be wrong about things. I have altered (slightly) not only my opinions, but also my view of the world, because of some of the negativity I have received from these discussions.

To everybody contributing, keep it up, good job, we are all going forward, whether we like it or not...

To Richard Graham, thank you yet again for this continuing opportunity...

The one guy, (before he totally edited out all his irate invective the last go-round) gave me the "who do you think you are to come at my face" line. I have been involved in the local, regional, and even national inline hockey scene since 1987, and folks, that's only 3 years after Bob invented the darn skates to begin with. All that means is that I have done more things wrong in this deal than most everybody else has done right. I will probably continue to make mistakes.

I don't want anybody to be afraid to say something to me, or anybody else, because they are afraid they might make a mistake. Don't be afraid to be wrong. I'll try to admit it when I say some of these things, too.

Keep up the good work, gang, this is one way we will make our sport better and better. Listen to everybody, even the second time, we all may be right on some of these issues.

Thanks for listening.

-Dan

I usually check out IHC several times a day just to see what's going on. I also visit a number of other roller hockey web sites and message boards. I've been a member of the IHC family for quite some time and I think this site has done more for the development of the sport than any other site. I've made a lot of friends and business contacts from IHC. This sport still has such a long way to go and it will only get there through intelligent discourse by passionate people in a venue such as this. If you have a web site, I encourage you to place a link to IHC prominently on your home page to spread the word and bring other people into the fold.

Yeah IHC, has let me learn a lot from others people about the game, and hopefully a few ave leaned a little from me. I think it helps a lot with the development of the sport.

Hi Danny, Mission, Superstar and Benny,

Thanks for the kind words. A while back I was about to quit doing IHC, because I wasn't getting enough return from the effort I put into it. I went back and forth about it in my mind for about three tough months, and I finally came to the conclusion that I'd keep it going -- I'd put too much heart and soul into it to quit. Comments like yours really do help keep me going. Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.

Sincerely,
