I'm a intermediate level, recreational player. I've been playing for about 4 years, starting at the age of about 20. Because of this, I've had no formal training or coaching. I'd like to commit to improving my game, and was wondering if anyone had any advice or thoughts on private instructors/ camps/ etc. If it helps, I'm in the Southern California area. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I dont know for your area, but your best bet would be camps ran by former pros, I know lots of people, including myself who have been helped a ton by them.

I use Better Hockey. They are based in Maine but they deal with only hockey and they train from youth to pro. They have a camp called Top Dog. I have managed to get alot off the web site alone WWW.BETTERHOCKEY.COM Check it out.

Check your local rinks for camps / clinics. Gretzky's in Irvine has a lot of clinics going on.
