What do you think is the best thing about roller hockey?

-In my opinion tournaments are like nothing in the world. Everyone gets pumped and the competition is incredible.

I will have to agree, I look foward to everything about a tournament. A long ride with teammates, finding parking lots to practice in between games, hotel antics, the competition of the games, getting up at 6 and staying at the rink till 12. Most non roller hockey people would find most of that crazy, but thats what I love about it :-)

I love the game and I love the competition but more than anything I do it for the freindships.

I can agree on that one.. it's crazy but well worth it.. and then add in the sometimes 24 hour shifts running a rink.. that's INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can sort of relate, I've had days of tourney game at 6, then ref other games and run the pro shop in between my two teams games. Never leaving the rink till late at night, good times.

yeah.. try running a 24 hour iron man, playin in it, being the only Manager in the building for anything else that comes up, and worrying about your pro shop because there's a billion people going in and out of it and only 2 kids running it... that's hectic.. but well worth the fun and the $$$

The iron man tourneys, that is very exhausting, I am just glad my local rinks never ran one, because I couldnt work and play all day. But your situation sounds very hectic, but as long as you keep your sanity, its worth it ;-)

Definitley tournaments. For all the reasons mission named and some others too, has anyone else had an 11:30pm game friday night and 5:30am saturday morning game? I did once, since it was here most of the team slept at the rink.

We had a game at 11 at night and 5 in the morning, and yeah most of the kids did sleep around the rink. It was great I saw a kid asleep in a arcade racing booth, one on the bleachers, on the benchs, it was crazy. Thankfully I had lots of jerseys to make ghetto pillows out of ;-)
