Can someone help me out and give me some phone numbers or e-mail addresses for teams that play in numerous tournaments and have a good D1, Pro, or Senior team?

I am from Illinois but I am willing to travel over the summer time to play with a team. I am 21 years old and have played in almost every league and tournament you can think of. The problem is I want to play with a good organization, not just a ordinary team. If you know anything please let me know. Thanks!

I'm from IL too. Now I can't say I know any great organizations around here, but we have a good number of skilled players but very few that are willing to travel. We're always looking for good guys that want to travel if you're interested.

Who do you play for and what tournaments do you play in? Also, Where are you located?

The team name changes from place to place and tournament to tournament. The most common name we use is the Ravens and we're out of Mt Prospect. We play all the local stuff Narch, Torhs, Triple Crown and have gone to Detroit and Vegas a couple times.

BackCzech. Are you playing at Mt. Prospect now? We just joined the Gold division this season. Which team are you? We are the ChillDawgz (Hernbrott on the schedule).

Nayrbs. Go to my site www.illinoisinlinehockey.com. I run the adult league. The top players from this league form our travel team. See above. We are planning on playing in the tournaments in Palatine. We are also probably going to head to Winternational's next year.

Send me an email and I'll give you the details.

nayrbs,

I play on the Chicago Magic, a team recently comprised last summer that has won the Senior Gold Division in 02 NARCh Finals & 03 Winternationals, also we won the Chicago Triple Crown Regional last year... Some of the guys play in local leagues, right now I'm playing in Homer Glen

We will be traveling to Detroit, St. Louis & Florida this year to compete...

Let me know where in IL you are located and maybe we can meet up... (Some team members are as far south as Bloomington)

Nick,

What division's do they have at Homer Glen? I was just in there this weekend. It's a really nice facility.

To be honest, I don't really know, I just caught wind of the league and was invited to play. The division I'm in (I believe it's a Silver Divison, the highest at Homer Glen) was delayed for about a month and a half for some reason, but I heard they have a Bronze league as well that has been going on for the past 3-4 months....

It is a nice place, reminds me of the old Apple Sportsplex in East Lansing.... but there are no showers... only downfall....

My regular team isn't playing there this session since they changed the time from afternoon to morning so I just jumped on a team on Monday and I play in Palatine on Sun and Wed. I saw you guys there last week. I had to ref right after your game.

Who won the game you reffed. I watched the first period, no score. Those are both good teams.

Ceglarek's team aka the mudcats won 7-5. They were down 4-0 but made a big comeback in the third. They're the best team out there right now. You guys should hang tight with them though.

It should be fun. We've been enjoying ourselves. We play the Mudcats this Sunday at 11. I'm curious to see how we do. Come up and say hi if you're there. I'm the old guy with the white pants.

Good luck. Remember no matter how far ahead you get, don't let up. I've seen these guys score 5-6 goals in under 2 minutes when they want to. I may be reffing that game anyways.

I'll be happy to get a lead to blow in the first place. lol. We're still getting used to playing indoors. We're mostly ice hockey guys in the winter. Our inline rink is outdoors. This is the first time we've joined an indoor league. We're still trying to get our feet under us a bit. I'm still not sure how good or bad we are. The team we played this past Sunday seemed to quit early. I don't think they are as bad as the score indicated.

I know we can create offense but I'm worried a team like the Mudcats will expose some of our defensive weaknesses (i.e. Brain cramps).

We'll see I guess. See you Sunday.
