View Full Version : New Jersey Area Tournaments
People always tell me "if you think you can find a better way to do something - go ahead and try". So, I tried. Did I succeed? I have no idea.
If you live in the NJ/NY/PA area and you're looking for a listing of local and regional tournaments, within a 5 hour drive of Central New Jersey, please try the following web site - http://www.eteams.com/njrh
I wanted to create an easier way to view all local tournament activity without driving myself crazy. If you go to the CALENDAR view, it's the easiest way I've found to figure out what's going on and how to plan accordingly.
If you've found something better - please let me know. Also, if I've missed anything - please let me know.

I checked out the site today and want to commend you for a great job listing the tournaments. Just a general note of concern. Nothing that you have to do with but something for the people hosting tournaments.
Did everyone notice all of the tournaments being held on the same weekends. In some cases you will see 3-4 tournaments locally and playing the same divisions. It's nice that you put all of this together. Now what needs to happen is that a line of communication between all of the local arenas so that all can make things happen. At this rate a lot of the tournaments are gonna have to be cancelled and just think of what economically it will do to the rink owners. Not only are there the local tournaments to deal with on the weekends but also the Qualifiers and Regionals for National events. The competition is being watered down because of all of the tournaments and then the talk of kids hopping from team to team comes to play. Kids as well as the competitive parents would much rather play or have their kids in the higher caliber tournaments. This causes a problem because clubs depend on their teams to make the tournaments work. But when you have so many tournaments with the same faces from teams it gets boring. Part of why the West Coast Roller Hockey is so strong is because these teams compete and see teams from all over. Locally with all of the clubs running tournaments just about every week things get stale for the kids and they loose interest. Just food for thought.
