Recommending skates for youth to parents has been difficult. I have seen many youth unable to stand in their Mission skates due to what I can see is mediocre ankle support. Does anyone have a feel for the many brands out there in addition to Mission product. No stores carry any brands other than Mission in this area. The brands I am aware of are: Tour, Bauer, Quickchange but have limited knowledge of the support.

I have recently switched to Quickchange from Mission and found them to have excellent support in the adult sizes (better than Mission). That is all I have been exposed to thus far. Please help if you can.

my friend, you are wearing some low quaslity skates. You hav to look at stiffnes, otherwise the boot flexes, thus no support. For many brnads the lower end models aren't ass stiff as missin, but if you buy last years model you can get good mission skates for kids. It is important to stay away from skates such as the xi, si, sv, and vapor 1, vapor xl, ccm rapidses
