Hello,

My name is Larry and I have coached Inline hockey for 6 years and also play. It is the coolest game on earth even though its on asphalt. I am also a youth minister and love the way God chooses to work hockey into his mysterious ways. I m going to start a christian hockey association for the state of South Carolina, with the help of some teenage players who are dedicated christians and inline players. Just wanted to meet online some other christian hockey players, ice or inline and share each others testimonies. God bless you and put em' on net!!!!!

Dear Larry,

Thanks for your message. I played high school soccer with a teammate who went on to become a priest who now participates in triathlons. I'll have to tell him it's high time he switched to inline hockey :)

Best of luck with your Christian Hockey Association!

(Is it true that your league's "The 10 Penalties" is carved on a tablet of stone?)

Sincerely,

Alrighty! Glad to see you starting what should be an a great outreach! I am a CHRISTian and play in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We don't have a "CHRISTian" league. Mainly because we can hardly get enough people to play in a "regular" league let alone a CHRISTian one. But, thankfully I have 2 other CHRISTians that play with me. Of course, it helps that one is my brother in law. We have a great time. I wish you all the best. Let me know how things go eh? My website is Baton Rouge Hockey Report, http://zip.to/brhockeyreport and you can always email me at [email protected]
GOD BLESS!! laters, j-bo

But if you're not a Christian, rest assured that Christ IS a hockey fan (and maybe a hockey player) Looks like He's a lefty also. just type www.boneplate.com/jesus and 'bam' your there.

Jesus Saves! But Gretzky with the rebound, he scores! (Sorry - couldn't resist tossing this nugget into the discussion)

Hi Larry,

I am a Christian and have played hockey since I was 6. Started on steel wheeled skates (side by side wheels) in NYC. Became Christian and love the opportunities hockey gives me to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We all have opportunities to share the Good News and I am happy to do it while playing a game I love.

Unfortuneately, the time I ever bring up Christ during a game is when I'm yelling at a ref.
