I want to get the opinions of some players about the overall quality of Hyper Wheels. My team and I have recently bought Unity wheels and Duality wheels. After one weekend consisting of Five games the wheels are shot. We played on sport court and the only people that had a problem were those who bought Hyper Wheels. Let me know if you have had an experience with the wheels.

The only set of Hyper wheels I have ever got were hyper trinity's and I actually thought they were pretty nice on spourtcourt.
We have never used the "dualities" or "unity's" but have heard similar complaints from those who tried them. We have been using the Trinities since last May and have found them to be the best wheel on Sport Court of any we have tried - by far. Also they have been much more durable than Milleniums - maybe 3 times the life.

All I have to say is that Duality is the best wheel out there...I've been skating on them since finals in toronto...well different sets...but same formula...and I gotta tell you, they are amazing!!!

I have had a problem with their wheels chunking out lately. I had a set of Assault G's, where the urethane would just tear away from the hubs, after like 1-2 games. To their credit, Hyper sent me two sets of replacement wheels, but a recent set of Trinitys I purchsed, did the same thing after 1 game. The Trinitys I replaced with the new set, had held up for more than three seasons, and were just showing signs of cracking. I like their Trinitys the best, but have had very good success with their Dualitys, I have used at least 3 sets without ever having any problems. So overall, I really like the Hyper product, but I am concerned that several of their recent products have had a problem with urethane seperation.

Hyper has durability issues in my opinion too... go w/ the labeda dynasty.. by far the best wheel out there.. kinda pricy but worth it if you're a high end player. I want to get ahold of some rink rat wheels and check them out, anyone know when they'll be available? Still waiting to hear from them about their product for my store..

The dynastys are great imo. But I really want to check the rink rats out, arent they supposed to be released sometime soon?

I thought the Hyper Trinity wheels were excellent in terms of grip and feel, but the type of mold they used left a bit of excess material, and it took a few minutes to wear down before they rolled right since they were rubbing against each other. However, I wore mine for 8 games and they were shot. I've had alot of success with milleniums, and I'm now running Red Star Snipers. The Snipers are a nice wheel too, and after 3 games show very little wear. My roomate has about 15 games on his Snipers and they are in very good shape, but he only weighs about 160 soaking wet.

My brother had trinitys and blew them after 15 games. I always have had success with the milleniums too, its always a nice wheel to get because nowadays you can find them fairly affordable.

The way I see it, if you're going to build a 12 dollar wheel, you better build it like Rink Rat does, so this wheel lasts... thats my thoughts

Perfomance over cost, in my opinion is what matters. If its worth the price I dont mind, my barebones wallet might. ;-) lol

Hi Nayrbs,
How on earth do you kill a set of wheels in one weekend on Sportcourt? Are you sticking them in a bonfire after every game? I have played seven games in my "Old Farts" league this season on Sportcourt, and have yet find the need to even ROTATE my wheels.
What am I missing here? /wtimages/icons/shocked.gif

There are guys who move more in one shift then you do in a whole season, Rich :)

Hi Huck,
Touche. However, I always keep my skates moving, even when I'm in the penalty box. LOL.
How about you, Huck? Slashed anyone in a friendly lately? /wtimages/icons/wink.gif Scored any mystery goals? /wtimages/icons/shocked.gif
I guess I've come up with my own answer to my question, though... Nayrbs is probably playing seven or eight games per tournament weekend, when right now, I'm only playing once a week. Big diff.
Sincerely,
Richard Graham
