What do you think about playing on a smaller sized rink? The CAGE rink will measure 100' x 50'.

Personally I think it would be a much tougher and more defensive game then we have been accustomed to in traditional inline hockey. This depends on the level of body contact permitted. Trap style hockey wouldn't be that prevelant but there would be much less space to skate.

On the flip side the shorter rink could ensure more goals dispite it being a more defensive game due to the volume of shots sure to go a goaltender's way. Either way it would be very interesting and probably a lot of fun to try to coach within these dimentions.

I think it would have the same effect as Arena Football.... high scoring, fast paced. If it's 4 on 4, there wont be any room for mistakes, and every one will most likely be capitalized on. The teams are gonna have to be perfect if they want to win.... I think the game will be more exciting in a sense of pure goal scoring... I mean, there's really no 'transition' in the rush....... you're either going to be on the attack or on defense.....

It will be 4 on 4 and the game will have to be precise. You are right, this will be the Arena Football of inline hockey. The game is scaled down so that in can be played on a surface about the size of a basketball court.
I think that the CAGE will be something that the players and coaches will enjoy as much as the fans.

Is it 4 on 4 without a goalie? or is it the same as we have now?

I wish that I could tell you the setup for the CAGE but I can't disclose a lot of information at the present. Hopefully, I will get the patent pending next month so we can start making plans for the preview games.

i think you have alot of good ideas but whats up with the goofy name? no one is going to take a league seriously if its called the CAGE. the name makes it sound like a WWF type league. plus you seem to enjoy saying the word too damn much.

Can't tell you right now because it ties in with the patent. It will all make sense soon.
