We are looking for high level inline players from Southern California to take to Europe over Spring break. The trip dates are April 11-22, 2003. Teams will be participating in international competition in England, Denmark and Sweden. The following gives details of the trip highlights and tryout information. Trip highlights
We will be spending two nights in London. Besides Touring the city, we will be playing exhibition games. From London, we will travel on an overnight cruise ship across the North Sea to Denmark. We will spend two nights in Copenhagen and play an exhibition game against a Danish team. From Denmark we will travel to Gothenburg, Sweden. Sweden is the "hotbed" of inline hockey in Europe and home to Europe's top teams. We will be staying in Gothenburg for 4 nights and playing in a tournament. We will then take another overnight cruise ship across the North Sea into Newcastle and drive to London for our return flight.
Who can try out
The competition on this trip is expected to be very good and therefore, players wishing to tryout should be at minimum, playing at the Tour pacific club level or higher.
The cost
The entire trip cost should be AROUND $1465 inclusive of airfare, lodging, most meals, ground and sea transportation, competition, and several tours and activities.
Coaching
Coaching staff will be headed up by cph?s Nick Moran and Dave Cairns.
Who can go
We will take four teams from these age groups:1991 & under, 89-90, 87-88 and 84-86 *(note different age groups in europe)
There will be numerous chaperones, so that with the exception of the 91 and under, players may travel alone.
Tryouts
will be held at the gretzky hockey center, irvine . Try out cost is $10.00 per player
