High School Inline Hockey

Is there any initiative to create a national High School Roller hockey organization to promote the sport at the High school level - or does this already exist outside of my scope of awareness? This would maybe make it easier to create some continuity for the sport at a Collegiate level. In addition the formation of High School leagues would certainly help support quality local Roller Hockey facilities who are otherwise dependant mostly on travel and in house hockey for income. Maybe creation of these types of facilities at High Schools could be explored as a revenue generating avenue for the schools - leasing the facilities out when not in use to private clubs.

To answer your question, i believe that there is already a highschool division in such events as narch nationals like varsity cup and i know USA inline is a good tournament, but you have too look at this topic through their websites. But as for the competition, its still a great experience. i had the pleasureful experience of reffing the USA inline HighSchool Nationals in St. Louis 2 years ago and was a good turn out, but its hard to have a national event at one place when theres not a ton of teams; however, the highschool teams have been promoted in my home area, just not at a national level yet because most of those players play on area tournament teams. but who knows, if anyone has any other suggestions that could help you out, please feel free, but those are my 2 cents on the topic that i do not know a whole lot about.......

It is an uphill battle. Check out www.chsiha.com . It is the Colorado high school league. It ran into many obsacles with the state sanctioning body. A lot of perseverance from a few individuals has made it a growing organization.

are school has a inline roller hockey team. but since are school is a pos they never announced it so i just found out we had one and the practices are alreaduy going on. man i hate my school

We have created a Non-For-Profit Corporation called the National High School Inline Hockey Association (NHSIHA ) based in New York but unfortunately have done nothing with it because of the lack of support and volunteers that we need to help get started.
