It's difficult to accurately answer this poll question. Since the CRHL now supports 3 leagues, there really won't be a single league or National Champ. There are teams in the Premier league which will be hosting its own Nationals, and the teams in the Competitive league. So, the poll needs to be a little more specific. It is hard to say who will win Premier, since all final 4 teams are in the Premier league. We will also accept a few at large teams to play at Nationals with us (with a few restrictions). So what is the question being asked?

Reason um-teen why the split league was a horrible idea... Ahh well, I guess I'll add it to the list...

Hi DetroitBandit,
Good point.
I should have stated that the poll was directed toward Division I only. I'll make additional polls for the other two divisions.

It's about time somebody brought some humor back to this board. Thanks for starting my day off with a laugh.
And let me guess, your football team is going to play in the Rose Bowl..........

I find it hard to believe that one of your players just got back from the USA Jr Worlds. Last time I checked Juniors was 18&under. How many returning players are 18 or under? I'm glad your so confident though. We'll just have to wait till you get on the ice to see if it's all bark and no bite.

I think the international jr program is up to 19 years of age. I'm not sure. I am sure that Kyle Mikel played in Jrs. and was the Goalie for Lindenwood last year.

OCC is new to the WCRHL this season. I'm not sure how the whole nationals thing works or if we're even allowed to play any of the "premier" teams, but if you look at the scores to our games, you shouldn't think i'm joking when I tell you that we could probably beat any team in the "premier" league or wherever. I'm not trying to boast, just thought it'd be cool if we were known as strong team on the national level. And for you players in the "premier" league who still don't believe me we consist mostly of Narch Division 1 Tour Predators, and finished 2nd in Minn. this last summer only losing to the Empire Snipers. Hope to see some good competition at Winter Nationals.

Id probubly check the teams out before you go running at the mouth, have you ever actully seen any of the stronger teams in the "premier" league, mich st., linwood, RIT, etc...They are very good teams. In order to be known as a strong team nation wide you probubly need to "actully" go to nationals and prove yourselves first. Listing your accomplishments is all fine and dandy, but actully playing and winning the NCT would be alot bigger than words.. There are strong teams all over the country,The only way your going to get the recognition that you obviolsly need is to 1st-make it to nationals, and 2nd-put on a good showing there...Just merely asking for recgonition isent going to get you any.

I don't think this guy is demanding recognition and I understand proving how good you are, but trust me, I don't think OCC would have much of a problem competing and doing well in the Premier League. I was out at Narch this summer playing D-1(3rd place Pama Cyclones) and I can tell you first hand, if this team is made up mostly of Tour Predators they would have no problem hanging with the Lindenwoods of college roller hockey. Most of Lindenwood was also at Narch and I don't remember them finishing 2nd. Also, OCC has a great coach in Dave Perumean(sp?)which can help a great deal. I don;t know what division OCC will be at nationals, but I bet they will put on a pretty good showing there.

yo ho yo a pirates life for me!!! and although slapshot09 says "Brin Morris Ive seen you play and you are hardly anywhere near the best talent on your team" I bet we could punish any of your crappy teams. Especially you big Universities like Michigan and Lindenwood whoever you are.Because I've seen you guys play and I thought I was watching an old mens in house league.I'm come on guys really. I've seen better talent at pick up on wednesdays. And as far as your "team USA" player. who cares. Your still gonna lose to 8 kids from local Huntington Beach.Ask Chico State what they think being a 1'st placed University means when going up against the PIRATES.It means nothing because we kicked their asses and will kick yours to.

Perhaps, but along with their college roller hockey career they will be obtaining a degree and the ability (hopefully) to speak with proper English grammar. :o\

That's just the Elitist attitude we're talking about. You assume that because OCC is a Community College, we won't be getting our four year degree. Maybe that's the way they do it on the East Coast, but here is California, we can get an excellent education and all our required courses for a limited investment. Some of us don't have our rich Daddys paying our way. Then we can take our last years at the four year school of our choice, sometimes with a full academic scholarship. That way we may not have to also work to put ourselves through school and play hockey. But, we're not complaining, that's what will make us better men then you, we worked for our education just like our undefeated standing in the WCRHL, Div. I. It's your rules that will invite the 3rd or 4th place team from our league to compete with you boys at NARCh. We'd be happy to play the winner, bring it on, give us an invitation "at large". NARCh has always been the tournament of Champions not the "almost as good". You'd think NARCh would invite OCC just to bring up the level of play.

Hi,
I think Mike was giving you a little dig in the ribs. I'm sure his response wasn't based on elitist attitudes /wtimages/icons/shocked.gif
I read something interesting the other day about Lindenwood. You might find it edifying. Because of the high cost of attending the school, students' parents can barter for their education. Yup. If the parents have something the school's dining commons can use for food, they can pay in pork or beef instead of cash. As one student said, "I always wondered if I was eating one of Daddy's pigs."
(Mea culpa: When I went to San Diego State University, a semester's classes cost only about $115. I figure my diploma's worth at least $460. That's a heckuva lot more than some online degrees you can buy these days.)
Oh, and I like to call SDSU the Harvard of the West Coast. /wtimages/icons/wink.gif
Go Aztecs!

HAHA...Is this guy for real? Does anyone else getting the feeling his vains were about to bust in his head while he was writing that post? I mean come on really, If you have the best college team in the country awsome, but really what is the need to constantly remind everyone? Seems like you have the short man disease, all this Ill beat you, and you, and you, come on really, So now I guess you get what you want, For EVERYONE to be watching you at NCT..So as I said before 1.Get there 2. Win NCT, and hell since your so outstanding 3.Not give up and goals... See you there

Yeah,
Definitely no elitist attitude! I was just playing...honest.
By the way, I don't have a "rich daddy" paying my way. I worked my tail off in high school to get a full ride for four years, and I'm still working hard while I'm here.

hey there mr detroit bandit,
its funny to see that you think your team will play Lindenwood in the finals? thats a joke, you guys are terrible! you guys got spanked by purdue, and barely hung on for a tie against MSU.....furthermore, its gonna be great to see you guys play lindenwood, and loose like 30-2 cuz its gonna happen. regardless if you guys have mr world or not, thats one player. plus you guys have no sportsmanship, and you consider yourself a coach? please, you cant even keep your kids inline, yet alone like matching pants, jerseys, or anything else. ive seen atoms at narch look better dressed than you clowns. furthermore, if you truly think youre gonna beat anyone else maybe besides michigan or possibly OSU, keep talking, or maybe you can bring some more illegal players from compuware ehh? keep dreaming....ohh and why did you wanna play in division II, ohh cuz you couldnt handle the spanking against anyone else....your a dirty team and that filth will get you guys nowhere....lets see how long it takes before you have 2 players on the roster...lord knows against purdue you only had 3 or 4 skaters? and what happend in that game? what was the score at half? as for OCC, i bet you guys are by far one of the best teams in the country, i dont doubt that, i played with you guys in flordia, and i know im not a superstar caliber player like some of your guys on your team, but i respect what your organization has done....furthermore, i now go to MSU and play out here, and if you guys are at winternationals, maybe we can get some rink time and scrimmage for an hour or so to warm up for winternats. it doesnt matter if you guys bring your TGP team or your occ team, we just wanna play some good teams....so keep me posted...email me at
[email protected] in addition, i think you guys are one of the best teams in the country, but DIII is a lot different than DI and thats why you guys are in a separate division.....anyways, i wish you guys the best of luck on the west coast even tho i know you dont need it, but im sure ill see you guys in vegas and if you guys ever want to come out by the midwest region, imsure i can find you someplace to stay for free, and you guys can come play some hockey too? but let me know....see you at winternats...

hey buddy,
actually if youve seen lindenwood, theyre better than last year, and if khare comes back like hes supposed to, theres no way any team will even come close.....furthermore, what do you mean that there will be some at large teams in addition?? does that mean dIII teams will be there too? or cali teams, southern teams, or east coast teams will get invited to play premier nats? let me know, cuz inquiring minds wanna know......in my mind, however, i would love to see the premier league similar to that of the College basketball tournaments like that of the NIT and the march madness, with the top teams being divided up into one group depending upon regular season records and the lower seeds, going to a tier II division or something like that....i think instead of having premier and comp, that those tiers would be more even? dont you think? or does anyone disagree with me?

Bones,
Just to set the record straight it was TROY "don't call me Travis" Mann, and anyone who has met Troy knows that he is the most negative person ever. So, I'm sure it was nothing personal against Lindenwood, but it just didn't work out for him.
P.S. Troy Mann is a great guy.

Well im the most negative person in the world huh? The only reason that lindenwood didnt work out for me is beacuse of the srtict rules of the school, well that and they didnt offer the major that i was going into. I wish lindenwood the best of luck this year, its not like they r going to need it tough.

troy,
are you kidding me, they need as much luck as they can get! eastern michigan is going to beat them 20 to nothing in the finals. cmon now buddy, what are you thinking? lindenwood repeating as national champions is like the detroit lions winning the superbowl. and one last thing; i so wished you still played so that we could see your lil bro score on ya too, but then again, thats like saying lindenwood is going to loose in the first round of nationals to like U of M.
