Last year Team Canada won their first Fedorin Cup in a shootout after Doug Jones tied the game up with 36.7 seconds.

ANAHEIM, CA- The fight against cancer continues at all levels and ages. The goal is to raise money and awareness for National and Local cancer organizations. Athletic Sports Fund of America is proud to present the 5th Annual Fedorin Cup Charity Hockey Game to be held on Saturday, August 24, 2002 at Disney ICE arena, the training facility of the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. The Fedorin Cup was established in 1998 when Eric Fedorin, a 36-year-old local California hockey player, was diagnosed with brain cancer. In his memory and support of Eric?s daughter Madison, an educational fund has been established in her name. A portion of all proceeds will also be distributed to NHL Hockey Fights Cancer. In addition, Athletic Sports Fund of America was established to grant scholarships to athletes in need.
The event will consist of, a charity exhibition ice hockey game between Team Canada and Team USA, a silent auction, casino-style gaming, opportunity drawing and celebrity appearances TBA.
