Founder/League Commissioner of Tri-City In-Line Hockey League Resigns:

Blue Gomez, Founder and League Commissioner of one of North County San Diego?s Finest Youth In-Line Hockey program calls it quits.

Vista, CA -- Former Channel 10 News Leadership award winner and ex-junior league goaltender Blue Gomez submitted his letter of resignation to the Tri-City In-Line Hockey League Board of Directors effective at the end of the Summer 2002 Season. Gomez who founded the 1993 inline hockey league with 6 kids in his former apartment parking lot, cited health, league financial problems, low enrollment, lack of volunteerism, and exhaustion as the many issues and concerns that led him to the decision.

?This league has been my heart and soul for the past 9 years, and we have seen over 1300 kids develop, hockey, social, and academic skills. I will miss all of the wonderful kids, parents and families who spent many hours making it happen,? stated Blue Gomez.

The Tri-City In-Line Hockey was founded with the principals of letting the children have fun, producing good quality citizens in the community as well as striving for academic achievement. The Tri-City In-Line Hockey League is a California Non-profit 501-c3 Organization with the slogan ? The League with a Mission?. The TCIHL has been a major asset to the community by providing such instructional, developmental , and competitive programs. TCIHL is sanctioned by USA Hockey In-Line headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
