The first ever WCRHL Ironman Tournament is coming to Hermosa Beach on July 6, 2002. An outdoor, summer festival atmosphere. This event is hosted by the Western Collegiate Roller Hockey League, along with the City of Hermosa Beach, ESPN Radio, and Papa John's Pizza.

Date: July 6, 2002
Time: 9am-7pm
Place: South Park, Hermosa Beach
Cost: $150 per team

Format:
The Ironman Tournament is a 3-on-3 tournament, consisting of 10 teams. Each team is guaranteed 3 games at a minimum. Teams may consist of 3-4 skaters and 1 goaltender. Games will be 30 minutes long, with ties going straight to 3-man shootout. Games will be played with a puck, and NO, there will be no ramps behind the goals!!! The champion and runner-up will be awarded trophies/medals.

Cost
Cost is $150 per team. The first 8 teams to pay in full will be given entry into the tournament. Teams must submit a roster and pay with one check, made out to WCRHL. Use the WCRHL Ironman Roster Form at westernregion.net. Registration is on a first-come first-serve basis.

Team Requirements
Teams must represent a 2- or 4-year college or university. Every player must attend that university and
identification will be checked at the tournament. Bring your school IDs. Incoming freshmen or players who
graduated in 2002 are eligible to participate. Schools are eligible to enter more than 1 team, but priority
will be given to each school's first teams. All WCRHL teams are eligible, as are any other college/university.

Location
South Park is on the corner of Valley and 4th St. in Hermosa Beach. See westernregion.net for a map or driving directions. Limited parking will be limited in the South Park parking lot, but street parking is available around the block. A drop-off zone will be available for players to drop off their hockey gear. Carpooling is encouraged, since parking is limited.

Lunch will be available from Papa John's Pizza, around 2pm in the afternoon, for a very affordable fee.

ESPN Radio will have trivia contests, giveaways, etc.
