I just finished reading another article about V-Form Suing another company for copyright/patent infringment. Is this the only way they are going to make any money cause god knows they won't with their product.

Well, I say good for V-Form/Nexed. If their patents have been infringed, they have the right to sue. Having your patent infringed is like having a person steal a painting that you painted, and for them to sell it as if they painted it. I don't know what specific patent(s) have been allegedly infringed by Bennetton/RollerBlade, adiadas-Salomon, and K-2, but it seems to be something to do with the skate itself. They have pending lawsuits in federal court with the above companies. They have settled lawsuits with Gen-X Sports/First Team Sports, Fila/Mgm and National Sporting Goods/Chicago regarding the same patent infringement. When you are the relatively "little" company, you have to protect yourself against the big companies, and one of the best ways is through lawsuit. Thank god for that, as I am a law student!
