Ok, first, the news isn't that horrible.. no deaths or injuries or anything like that. But, to me, it's pretty bad.
Last week, my car got stolen from out in University City in Philly. As if that wasn't bad enough, all of my hockey equipment was in the damn trunk! I got the car back the following Tuesday. The theives got my CD player, all of my CDs, my airbags, and of course, my hockey equipment including my Drexel jerseys and pants. All that remained was my black helmet for reffing and my stick (I guess they already had a stick!).
I post this hoping that if anyone near Philly sees anyone wearing a blue and navy gold jersey with either a dragon or the logo "DU" on the front numbered #95, they would let me know. Also, the pants are the same color with "Dragons" and "Philly Express" down each leg. I don't know if anyone would be stupid enough to try to wear it around the area, but just in case.
At any rate, mildly good news is that my car was insured fully, so I can recoup some of my losses. Don't know if I'm going to get full value for my stuff yet, but something is better than nothing.
So, I've learned a valuable lesson: never leave your equipment in the car!
