Winter Nats

Who played in teh Narch Winter Nats this past week? How did you do? I played in the Torhs Winte Cup. I play with the Bantam Fierce Cucumbers. We didn't do as good as we should have. We beat the LI Raptors and Mission Madness, adn losing to Quadra and Hyper. We got eliminated in the qtr. finals by Hyper Eclipse...and team we should have beaten. Quardra Black Ice won the whole thing. How did things go in Bantam in Vegas?

The actions in all divisions was excellent as usual.

As NARCh has discontinued its Message Board, NARCh players are welcome to discuss the action here on the IHC Message Board. However, flame wars will be extinguished, so keep it cool.

FCHockey, I was at Torhs Winternationals and your team did alright. You beat The LI Raptors, that had a Peewee goalie and was mercied by Mission Madness and Quadra Black Ice. The only goals the Raptors scored the whole tournament was on the Cucumbers. You beat a good Mission Madness team by the skin of your teeth. This was a team that was basically put together at the last minute. Then you played Team Hyper Eclipse, who was beating you 4-0 until the last minutes of the game. I was there, you guys scored two goals in the last minute to make it look respectful. The last goal you guys scored was with 5 seconds left on the clock. So don't be telling everyone who you should of, or could of beat. Except defeat with humility. By the way, The crappy Hyper team you should have beat came back with four hours of sleep and beat the Bad Apples, who many thought were the favorites 5-3. They then went to the finals and were leading 3-1 to start the third period. They ran out of gas to a much more rested, very good Quadra Black Ice Team. The final was 5-4. Maybe you need to play a little harder, dig a little deeper and stop making excuses for your lack of accomplishment!

I played in Torhs WinterNats this past weekend, it was pretty fun, you cucumbers didnt do so bad.... I work in the pro shop at Skate Safe and I was working when the accident between Hyper Eclipse and Quadra Black Ice happened... I know the kid broke his collar bone, but howd it happen? was it a cheap shot...?

No. It wasn't a cheap shot. Both players were going for the puck at the boards and they collided. My brother plays for Hyper and he told me Sandro had a fourth degree separated shoulder. They operated on him 1/09/02 and had to cut him open from his breast bone to his shoulder socket. He wont be able to play for a long time. Hyper will definetly miss him, since he was one of the mainstays.

I didn't mean to come off like i was bragging or something...i just knew we played horrible against Hyper and should have given them a game. I'm not making excusses, they beat us. I bet that game against the Bad Apples was a great game..we wanted to stay and watch, but we had planes to catch adn with all the security and are hockey bags we had to be at the airport early. Well hope to see all of you in Detroit for Summer Nats.

Also had a great time in NY. The people and staff were great at Skate Safe. Really nice rink. I was lucky enough to see alot of the city. Spent like 2 whole days in there. Went to Time Square, Ground Zero (what an experience!!!) went up the Empire State building, etc. Love NY and couldn't believe how nice and cool the people were after suc a tragedy. Loved ever minute of my trip. Thank you NY!!!

yeh its amazing how the people of NY all came together basically as one and coped with the situation so amazingly... yeh I work in the pro shop of skate safe, we tried really hard to make it fun and good for all the players in the tourney...

Hey TourDragon91 Glad to hear that you came back east with the Gold. I'm sure Narch was awesome. Torhs was good too. Unfortunately we didn't win the gold but competed thats more than some of the people who post and don't play. Good luck. Hope to meet you at Summer Nationals.

Hopefully Sandro is doing well. The injury sounded like it was horrible. I did see him in all sorts of pain on the hockey floor. It sure would of been nice if the team had won it for him. Good luck the rest of the season and hope to see you again at Summer Nationals.
