Rivertown Sports Winter Cup Challenge

The 2nd. annual Winter Cup Challenge was held at Rivertown Sports in Grandville, MI on December 29 & 30, 2001.

Team Bending Branches won the adult Gold division by defeating the Grand Rapids Riverfrogs 5-4 in the championship game.

Plyforms won the adult Bronze division by defeating Dairy Den 4-1 in the Championship game.

The winners of the skills competition were as follows:

FrontSide 3 Fastest Skater:
Gold Div. - Dave Venklase, Grand Rapids Riverfrogs (15.66 sec.)
Bronze Div. - Chuck McCloud, Axis Computers (16.53 sec.)

FrontSide 3 Hardest Shot:
Gold Div. - Dan Costanza, Team Bending Branches (94 mph)
Bronze Div. - Jason hayes, Admiral Petroleum (94 mph)

FrontSide 3 Most Accurate Shot:
Gold Div. - Brad Yeomans, Grandville Gators
Bronze Div. - Jason Hayes, Admiral Petroleum

Maltese Best Goalie:
Gold Div. - Brandon Pettersen, Muskegon Comets
Bronze Div. - Jason Kroll, Admiral Petroleum

Thanks very much for posting these results, I really appreciate it. In 2002, I'd like to create more independent editorial on Inline Hockey Central. That means I'll be asking most tournament directors to post their events' results on this Message Board, so that I can use my time in a more constructive manner. There's no reason that these IHC Message Boards can't be THE meeting place for anyone and everyone who loves the sport of inline hockey.
