What are everyone's thoughts on all the teams that are moving up (to D-I) in the SECRHL, and what players should we look for to make an impact this coming year and for what team/region?

I heard rumors that Bethel was getting Jimmy Carter, an inline prodigy out of Canada.... i also heard rumor that they are getting the Lensing twins from GMU; heard they already made a campus visit and verbally committed! That would hands down be the best team in the nation with those additions! My predictions
1.) Bethel
2.) CCU
3.) FGCU
4.) NCSU
5.) Tampa
6.) UCF
7.) GMU
8.) ECU
9.) Miami

wtf? who is this guy.... as a lensing twin i will not be attending bethel nor will i ever. going to mason was the greatest decision ive made. you dont even play for bethel, stop wasting peoples time with lies on the forum.
as for hockey... mason probably will stay the same skill wise, nobody drastic coming or leaving so itll be tough to fend off the ever increasing in skill SECRHL teams. should be an extremely competitive season.

Your maturity is truly astonishing. And you wonder why people have problems with Bethel. :o

You got that right. QC is outstanding. They will have arguably the best goalie in ECRHA in Josh Krantz, contending in D2. Bethel will get reamed this year in D1 in SECRHL. I'd expect CCU to take the whole thing there, with ECU and Miami contending as well.
In ECRHA, based on what I'm hearing as far as incoming freshmen, Neumann is going to be a force to contend with in D1. Binghamton has replaced me in net with one of the better incoming freshmen from Long Island in Sean Connolly, and added Jeff Stern from ASU to their lineup, I'd expect Binghamton and QC to be the teams to beat in D2.

Hopefully Neumann is gaining a few players so they will be more competitive this year.

Well from what I have heard and talked to the past few days, Neumann will be dirty. If you go out to Narch you'll basically see there new freshmen and other returning players out there in platinum and gold divisions, so I would say they are going to be more than competitive...

They were also the absolute craziest team I've ever seen. They once stopped a game going on on rink 2 in Feasterville because they were standing on top of a spare net funneling Red Bulls at about 8 in the morning. They also brought logs into the rink and were chopping them up with chainsaws. And finally, the best I've seen from them was when they were dragging a rope tied to an old quad skate, the chainsaw, and a dead fish through the middle of the Sportsplex.

Thank you, Spambot, for taking my exact quote from another thread and posting it here.

Ya he came to check out the school and practiced with the team while he was there. He has yet to make a decision. While he seemed like a good kid, composed, talented, and well liked by the team he has had 4 months to make a decision. He is a outstanding ice player and is being looked at by other schools where I see him actually attending imo.

I believe that next year will be one most competitive if not the most competitive D1 Roller hockey has been! With the addition of FGCU, Bethel, and Miami, the SECRHL will become one of the dominate sections for D1 roller hockey. To add to this I believe that Josh Foote will be one of the dominate players in the league along with Trent Zimmer of FGCU and Jake Schuman of Miami. These 3 players are all different in there skills and will be great to watch head to head!

I was at NARCh and from what i heard Neumann is losing there offensive force leader lucente. Not to sure were he is playing. but who will neumann be gaining ?

I heard that he is going to west chester. I also know that they are bringing in atleast 4 narch platinum players to replace him. from what i hear lucente is a great
player, but not a great team mate. west chester should be really good and neumann should be very good. interesting season to come

This season will be interesting. I heard Lucente is going to West Chester. If they put him and Grossman together as a forward line they could do alot of damage. As far as im concerned that may be the top team heading into this season. Neumann will be strong to, does anyone know if Rowan has their full squad again? Cant wait to see how everything plays out.

Rowan will be loosing 7 D1 players from last years team.

I heard Neumann picks up Zubak from black ice, Youmans and Jones, machinski (spelling?) from Jersey and returns there top 5 players from last year and minus lucente which i hear is addition by subtraction, seeing how lucente went to neumann biggest rival, those games should be extra intense, both teams should be evenly matched

Is Rowan losing them to graduation or are they going somewhere else?
Going to be a great season. Good to see the level of talent and organization rising every year. WC and Neuman will be a great regional rivalry. I thought Neuman was a good team last year which didnt consistantly play to its potential- the events I saw they lacked composure across the board. Hope to see them come out strong and more disciplined.

Look for jordan Zalba, one of neumanns top ice hockey players,to play for their inline team this year

i know we tried to get zalba to play last year but he chose to do just ice hockey, i know it would be a great pick up

Even with the team Neumann is supposedly fielding. I still do not think they match with WCU and now the addition of lucente
hockeykid12
08-27-2011, 11:27 PM
Lucente isn't really the wcu pick up, wcu just has about 12-15 good d1 college players, where many won't even make there A team and prolly play B, from what I am told they enforce a strict academic standard, and from people is that certain new players most likely won't make it out of the first semester with their eligibility, regardless of talent. But no doubt WCU is the top of the crop. Straying away from Neumann and wcu since it's obv they are going to be very good, who else in the east remains to contend with those two teams? Rowan is beyond lost now, rutgers maybe?
