Miami beats Florida Gulf Coast for D2 Championship

We played against Miami in our pool and played right on par with them. That's pretty cool to know. And Miami was by far the best team we saw all season.

Thanks for those sentiments. We knew we deserved to be at Nattys, and are thrilled to win it all. Not sure what team you play for but every team we played in the round robin were very classy especially concerning the moment of silence for the mother of two of our players, so for that I thank you.

Just talking about the general lack of class from Bethel. Overcelebration, obnoxious unknowledgeable and classless fans/parents, etc. I was very happy to see them gone, and would too like to congratulate Miami on a well deserved D2 title. Yea bethel was pretty classless all week. They made a point to taunt the Shuman brothers all game yesterday. One of the parents even came up to him and said that he wished he was on the rink for the game winning goal because he would have broke his leg after that goal. What kind of person says something like that?

Congrats to Miami, you guys deserved it with the way you played! It was a hard fought game by both teams and you guys just out worked us in the 3rd and deserved the W. The thing about "taunting" the Shuman brothers is ridiculous though. There was chirping coming from both teams, but I know for a fact no one went after the two of them specifically. It is unfortunate what happened to them and just unheard of for one to say a team went after them because of a horrible loss recently in their lives. I agree with you about the comment made to him, that is completely unnecessary and ridiculous. There is not much we can do about a parent/fan making a terrible comment like that, but I would like to apologize to the Shuman brothers as well as the team. None the less, Congrats on the win you boys deserved it!

Congrats to the Miami team. I thought it was a well deserved title to take back to south Florida with you guys. You guys played with nothing but class all weekend despite the reputation that was misleadingly following your team. My deepest condolences go out to the Shuman brothers and your team. From everyone with a soul, thank you for beating that disgrace to hockey of a team, Bethel. Those clowns had it coming.

Bethel was a joke...we were at the same hotel with them it was awful. parents for the most part were fine...but the players...what a joke.

its all been in goof fun man. you guys should take next year as an opportunity. DII will be wide open with 6 teams moving to DI. For as big of a school that you guys have and all the good hockey players in the Carolina Area, you guys should be a better team. Let me know if you need some tips on recruiting players from your school. You would be surprised how many good players show up to tryouts if you just market the crap out of your team at the beginning of each semester

I find it so amusing that everyone hates on Bethel and calls them clowns, all out of jealousy! If you are that lustful and jealous then do something about, confront your school about helping fund your program/team... Don't just hate on a team and players just because they were talented enough to get recruited for a scholarship to play hockey while pursuing there education! Those of you who get on here and down the team and players should look in the mirror because that's not having any class... and it's obvious you had a Bethel player congratulate you(Miami) on your victory, yet people continue to down the players and program.. it just amuses me!!
