I know a bunch of guys are putting up great stats, but who do you think is the best player in the nation?

I think it can probably be safe to say that it is someone on Lindenwood.

I'll tell you what I've seen from other teams in the SECRHL. ( and other teams from what I saw in Inter-Regionals & Nationals last year)
Thus I'm including Rowan, Brockport, Shippensburg, Neumann, UCSD, Metro-State Denver.

right now I would choose Rowan's Eric Jones.

I have not seen Lindenwood who I hear is ridiculously good.

Other "Elite" players I've seen by position
Goalie:
NCSU - #30 Clark Colosimo (formerly of WCU) - Stone cold robs people... How big of a difference maker is he? Just look at NC State's goalie stats with the same
team playing in front of them or ask anyone in the SECRHL about WCU's former defensive minded strategy.
George Mason - #60 -Jordan Pohl - faces a ton of shots
USF - #65 Nick Regan - Was backbone of USF last year along with his brother. Flat out steals games
Bethel - #63 Ewen MacPherson -Canadian scholarship goalie. Probably too early to call him best in the nation as a Freshmen, but remember the name. We know it.

Forwards
Rowan- #2 Eric Jones - plain dirty. (in a good way) :)
Tampa -#96 Rowan Porter- great player, probably the most hated too. Wants to fight everyone.
NCSU - #12 Drew Beason is a major difference maker. Pinpoint accuracy with his slapshot / snapshot. Don't let him shoot or it's in your net. Good kid.
Bethel - #11 Josh Foote - Canadian Scholarship player. Quick first 3 steps and speedy. Hot head, could be next #96 from Tampa. Wants to fight a lot.
Bethel - #19 Chris Roberts - scores a lot of goals, not as fast as Foote, but probably a smarter player.
George Mason #11 Cam Lensing - Might love to "dangle" more than he likes to shoot and score. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rOQlUisPHY
NCSU #91 Mike Iadanza - great player.

Defensemen
Rowan #12 Andrew Amand
Tampa #12 Jeff Kotcher - Good defensemen often overlooked due to #96 and #98 on Tampa
George Mason #7 Drew Lensing - his quality Defensive Defensemen skills are probably overshadowed by his goals and the fact that nobody can tell him and his
twin apart.
George Mason #18 Harrison Murdock - probably top 5 fastest player in SECRHL. Very Offensive "Defensemen". Probably checking his stats right now :)

I'm sure I'm missing a few that I've seen. ECU, Kennessaw, UCF have great "Teams" with depth, not sure if any one individual on those teams is the best player in the nation though.
Best player I've seen was Neumann's Dominic Mariotti last year, who I would rank above Rowans Eric Jones.

i saw that josh foote guy try and take a swing at one of the lensing brothers this weekend. I think that foote is about (5'6") and the Lensing bro was about (6'2") funniest thing ive ever seen. then he realizes he would get the crap beat out of him and skates away as quickly as possible.

but both are ridiculously good players. id say that those three Bethel players carry their entire team. oh and joey valdasko(sp?) from ecu is insane. and taylor paul is a great defensman. one of the best ive seen.

ECU's Joey Valesko (only guy on team with White gloves) is a very good player as is some of the other ECU top players. ECU is definetely going to be a good team for a while and they seem like they would actually be a fun team to hang out with. Not sure I would put any of them in "best player in the nation" status, which is a pretty lofty title.

not sure why you are dying... Sorry I haven't seen lindenwood, WCU, or most of the teams outside of the SECRHL.

Jones is a great player.
Amand played defense against us last year and is listed as a defensemen online. http://ncrha.org/profile.php?player_id=97535

MIAMI-shuman
UCF-the goalie

Thats from the teams i have seen play but i would definitely probably say a player on lindenwood. Alot of great players in the division as for division 2, they have many skilled players that definitely know the game

In the GP:

Inouye, Mac, Sullivan, Shah, Gwozdz in D1 (Sullivan has yet to play a game and Gwozdz has little support anymore, but they're both great players.

I haven't seen enough D2 games to say, but Kraus and Diependahl are both good players, not close to the best in the region, though.

In JC, E Dauernheim, Lowe, and Willson are tops. I think Dauernehim, when he plays smart and hard, is also quickly becoming one of the top GP players. Of course, I am super-biased.

Woodling is probably right there with Steger in net too.

Steger may be the best player. I haven't seen many UMSL games, but he has been on fire so far in PIHA. Very fun to watch.

Alot of good names in this thread i would like to add Brendan Scalley as a monstrous defender

But on a more serious note Pat Keyes from B-port is one of the best goalies in the Nation. Stood on his head this weekend with a weak line-up in front of him and stole a couple ties.

most good college players cant handle the pressure anyway.. long way to become an all-star (http://bettingnhl.com/nhl-betting-all-star-game-rosters-announced/).. I still can't understand why so many people are interested in college hockey.. its way to soft and slow ihmo..

I believe craig hughes is extremely underrated and is the best player. he plays for ucf's b team. extremely fast and alert defenseman
