did anyone purchase the iihf game on line? If so what did you think of the game and coverage?

quality wasnt so bad. i'd say its an upgrade from the justin.tv/piha stream but a downgrade from the espn3 aihl finals. also i noticed a lil lag towards the end.

I'm watching Canada and Germany right now. Pretty good quality but it is very jerky.

I get about 3-5 seconds of video before the video stream stops completely. I'm still getting audio the whole way through so I'm not sure what's up.

Solution if you experience this is to wait 2-3 mins and not reload the page - eventually I guess the buffering for video picks up.

And not only that, but look at the difference in the way the organizations cover it. The only thing I know about the WJCs right now are that the US has been winning games. No names, nothing resembling a statistic. There's a few pictures, but aside from that and a link to a website in broken English, there's nothing.

Unrelated, but congrats to the US on winning gold over Czech. What's also great is that the coverage is right on the front of the IIHF website and the USA Hockey website.

Meanwhile, over on the USARS site, there's barely a mention that the junior team won silver, the women's team is even playing, and that the men's team is about to start up in Czech. No rosters, game recaps, on anything resembling a statistic on there, the FIRS site, or anywhere that's not the facebook accounts of the kids playing. There were a few pictures, and that's about it. I don't get it. AAU begs and begs for people to work with them, and then this is how events get treated.

The only thing I ask from both of these organizations is that they come up with some better uniforms.

I hate that they use those mini-hockey nets at FIRS. I don't care what the reasoning is. I hate it.
