Marketing strategy[1][2] is a process that can allow an organization to concentrate its limited resources on the greatest opportunities to increase sales and achieve a sustainable competitive advantage[3]. A marketing strategy should be centered around the key concept that customer satisfaction is the main goal.

Marketing strategy is a method of focusing an organization's energies and resources on a course of action which can lead to increased sales and dominance of a targeted market niche. A marketing strategy combines product development, promotion, distribution, pricing, relationship management and other elements; identifies the firm's marketing goals, and explains how they will be achieved, ideally within a stated timeframe. Marketing strategy determines the choice of target market segments, positioning, marketing mix, and allocation of resources. It is most effective when it is an integral component of overall firm strategy, defining how the organization will successfully engage customers, prospects, and competitors in the market arena. Corporate strategies, corporate missions, and corporate goals. As the customer constitutes the source of a company's revenue, marketing strategy is closely linked with sales. A key component of marketing strategy is often to keep marketing in line with a company's overarching mission statement[4].

Hmmmmm, yeah, OK ......

Think everyone knows what is needed, and it is no "marketing via Wiki". It has been debated for years on this board

... it's who actually 1) Leads from the front, 2) Without power hungry madmen trying to get their slice of the pie/dollar and 3) What the "end game" actually is.

Re: End Game, too many plans have no flexibility, and when the path needs to be changed, many find it hard to adapt and react (and just continue down the path they initially set off on, come hell or high water they are going to do it or die trying!).

Only way I see major growth/pro, is it needs main league play in summer months, with a link to local AHL, ECHL, IHL, SPL teams to get their fan base some hockey in the summer. RHI did this, but just in unaffordable venues for Roller Hockey teams

Marketing ... Anyway what are you talking about marketing for?

ACCCCCCT2 is the supremo in this area ... Any more news on this Global Tourney by the way, it's gone pretty quiet on that front?

What? Understand what? I really don't know what I am reading here, because to me your first post appears if you cut and pasted it from some marketing how to website, based on how it is worded perfectly, and in your posts below it, you type in broken sentences. Dave? did you even read what it says above and comprehend it? Where on earth did you get the title for the thread, the 7P's and what does that have to do with any of this??? You're a great guy I'm sure but sometimes when I read your posts I feel like I just read something from Forrest Gump....just sayin.

Marketing is the key to any new business. Roller hockey is a new business, trying to shake away the bad reputation of the old days (Pro beach, RHI playing in 3/4 empty arenas, etc) There are some teams that do a pretty nice job getting people into the place.

Look at two of the teams that have had great success with fanbase and atmosphere:

Hartford Fireants had a big crowd any time growl/wolves went up there, plus have a mascot, along with a fun atmosphere.

The Lunatics ALWAYS had a packed house screaming at us when the Growl came into town. Very tough place to play, great atmosphere for either the home or away team.

Look at both of these organizations. Great websites, some of the best in the leagues they play in. These teams sell season tickets, Mascots, have birthday parties for kids, prize giveaways, post-game skates, GOLF OUTINGS!!

How many other teams do this sort of thing?

This is the ONLY way roller hockey will ever take off. Entire divisions need to be making these efforts. Maybe, not enough people want the same thing, because the same suggestions have been brought up numerous times both on this board and off of it. Is does NOT take a business guru to figure this out. And if someone wants to pay my rent for the year so I don't have to work, I will be HAPPY to start on this tomorrow!

Roller hockey SHOULD be in the spotlight. I think we (roller hockey community) just settle for what is here, very few actually try to change it because they can't do so or worse won't do so. (Of course people have families, jobs, and a million other things they have to do)
