Itan Chavira of the Pama Cyclones will make his debut this weekend with the Michigan Thunder in MLRH 2 pro as he will travel to Chicago to help the Thunder search for their first win of the season.

Chavira, who with Pama has won the East and West Coast NARCh winternationals and TORHS national championship all in 2010, will bring his fast paced offensive style to the Thunder and opponents better be ready.

"Having Itan will only make our team better and we hope he'll continue his winning ways and help us this weekend in Chicago", Mark Pitelli, GM had to say of the Michigan Thunder

How much is Itan getting paid to play this weekend? Also is his travel getting paid for?

TJ, it's clear you don't like MLRH. As we respect other leagues and their posts, here's a suggestion. Everyone understands where you stand.

I'm not saying i don't like your league all i'm saying is that other Pro leagues have a consistant thing going for there leagues. They all have 5 team divisions. It is not a full contact sport where anyone is going to get hurt when we all have to go to work on sunday morning. There is no need in bringing in Big name players to help out attendences. It's just you hear and see so many bad things going on with MLRH. Do I repsect you? yes i do. All i'm saying is you hear and see bad things in this league. For example my good friend Mike Francis was injured due to the high hit. You never see that in AIHL or PIHA. Good luck with everything. Everyone has their own thoughts. This is a message board and i attend to voice my thoughts like everyone else.

Actually people do get hit high in the PIHA. Ask Perkins.

WHy does this "full contact where we all have to work on Monday morning" thing get thrown in anytime we talk about MLRH? There is amateur, elite amateur and semi-pro full contact ice hockey going on every weekend of the year in some corner of the world. You sign up for full contact you know you might get checked.

So far (maybe it'll happen this coming season) I've had no damage from full contact elite level hockey that resulted from being full contact (or that prevented me from being fine for work on Monday), puck to the face or a stick, etc could results from any level of play. Just as many fights in lower level play too - and I see way more cheap shots, and goons who think they're hockey heroes in the non-contact senior divisions.

I don't see the point that was being made, or even why that old "but I work on Monday" complaint comes up - MLRH is special in the world of inline hockey, but it isn't in the wider world of hockey in general.
