Im intersted in buying inline skates, because i want to learn how to skate, hopefully after learning play some recreational roller hockey. Should I get just the regular roller inline skates, or just go ahead and buy the inline hockey skates?

Do you know any brands that are cheap?

thanks

generally,by the best you can afford, period, no conditions on that statement.

Mission, Tour, CCM, Bauer-Nike, Easton, Graf, and probaly five other brands are all pretty good.

Go through internet sites: All major brands have their 4th level skate for $129, then three higher levels, usual MSRP at $199, $299, and $399.

Scour web sites for the discount/sale specials...eventually, you will find one of those $299-$399 models (from two years ago) that somebody is selling brand new for about $79, just to get them off the shelf.

If you keep at it, you will find a deal like this.

If you also are buying a helmet, shins, gloves, you can many times take the listed price for a group of items (say, about $300), call the toll-free number, talk to a person, and tell 'em you want this stuff, but you've only got $250 to spend. They will oft times, give you the deal.

Good luck, have fun, and let us know how you are going. You are embarking on a path that will take you only a couple of days to get started, but years to develop. The more you do the better you will get.
