I don't doubt the scoresheet http://ncrha.org/game.php?game_id=85895 , but did Ricky Hunt (Rhode Island's Goalie) score a goal in the West Point game?

Can anyone shed a little light on how it played out? It was in the second period, so I doubt West Point pulled their goalie.

I didn't see it happen, but I'd say it was most likely a data entry mistake (the numbers for goals and assists are on a drop down menu, so it's easy to pick the wrong number accidentally) If it actually was his goal, the easy way would be a save on a delayed penalty, and a subsequent pass going wayward and into the open net.

had that happen last year at Nattys. goalie makes a save and a player on the other team passes it into his net bu the refs said that he needed to have posession of the puck to get credited for the goal.

I don't know what happened there, when I get home from Pittsburgh I can check the scoresheet and see if it was entered wrong online (most likely). Sometimes the TK's accidentally hit the wrong number when entering things online, it happens and usually we get a email about it from one of the teams.

In this instance I haven't heard anything, but I am pretty sure at one point this weekend a team scored on themselves and nobody knew who touched the puck last, so the team just said to assign the goal to the goalie, I am not sure if this is this game.

Ricky Hunt didnt score it was Rieger that scored, the refs just didnt put the right player down for the goal
