View Full Version : Color commentator and camera man wanted for RatCast

The RatCast is now accepting applications for people to run the camera at our live game casts, and also a color commentator.

This weekend at the AIHL jamboree, er festival, it was quite apparent to all who attended that our old color man for the RatCast just wasn't pulling his weight. If that is even possible.

We had alot of great candidates come up and fill in this weekend in Philly, and so far, all were better than my last broadcast partner.

The requirements are minimal for this position. If you are NOT a goalie, that is a plus. If you are NOT from Connecticut, that is a plus too.

I for one thought that the RatCast was missing something this weekend and overall, if I had to grade the broadcast, I would say it was somewhere between a D and a D+.

In all seriousness, this was the 1st time that I could not be a part of the live broadcast but it also gave me the chance to sit at home in front of my computer and watch the games live. Thanks to those of you who filled my chair this past weekend in the broadcast booth. You all did a great job! I even have to say that Dave is already in midseason form (must be all of the extra trips to the Chinese buffet) and I can't wait to get back in the booth this Saturday night in Hartford when the Swamp Rats visit the Fire Ants.

As far as the cameraman goes, yeah we are still looking for a new one that will hopefully do a better job than the guy that worked with us last year at the finals. He was horrible!

Oh yeah...expect a new episode of This Week in the AIHL later this week.

Yes stick to gaurding the crease Kalish, you were pretty good at it this weekend. I felt very bad for Dave, he did his absolute best in the festival but there is only so much you can do alone. By the time I had a few minutes to spare I was either exhusted or distracted by the running of the event itself. Rup did he send you a pink slip?
