What happened with Winchester?

The Winchester Generals folded up shop after 3 years of elite level hockey. We give Rodney all the credit in the world for trying, but the market in his region clearly can't support an organization. We would have loved to see them finish out the season, but it was just not in the cards. Best wishes to Rodney and the Generals players.

Rodney and his players were nice guys. I know we all exchange opinions, etc, on here, but we had a positive experience when we went to Winchester with PIHA.

My inquiry was simply to ask what had happened to a franchise that always hung in there no matter what the score was. Sad to see them drop out. When one door closes, another opens. Best of luck to them as well.

Yes we did. After a discussion with Charlie and Jim, we did what was in the best interest of the league and for everyone in our division.

You and I over time have butted heads more times than we can probably think of. What I will say is you have always been cordial.

Your thoughts are always with growing the sport and nothing else so I say lets put to bed any insults as they are not worthy. No reason to dawn on the past.

Lets just do exactly what people like myself, Doug Jones, Anthony Flynn, and too many other to name at the moment are trying to do.
