Check out this video commentary about the Philadelphia Flyers rookie camp. They have some nice things to say about how Pat Maroon is looked in the camp (approx 6 min. in). Looks like he may have a shot at some time w/the big club. Good to see an inline guy doing well.

I attended a few days of the camp and he was one of the best players there. He definitely worked on his skating in the off season. He deked and dangled all over the ice in the scrimmage. Made one guy look silly at the blue line. He later scored a rebound goal after some fancy passing with his line mates.
James VanReismdyk was best player on the ice without a doubt.

The funny thing about this kid is that, many moons ago, when I ran a team in PIHA, he sent me an email about playing for us. I asked if he had skill and was very modest, seemed like a nice kid. We declined on having him play for us...woopsy.

I doubt it. He's been playing ice hockey all over the place during the winter months for the last 4 or 5 years. Before then he would have been under 18 and couldn'd have played pro. And if you haven't heard of Pat's name in roller hockey before you turned him down, then you need to get out more. Maybe it was Phil Maroon, he is still living the dream.

Thanks for the insight honestly. This was some time back. I know who I was speaking with, but thanks again.
