Dave,
I noticed you say "Ruppy and I are scheduled to broadast some of the AIHL Conference Finals" do you know which ones you are going to broadcast? There are several Georgian's very interested about a certain team and it is too long of a drive for most of the fans. The Georgia Syndicate Minor team must get the award for the farthest drive....
Estimated Time from Snellville, GA to Feasterville, PA: 13 hours 11 minutes Estimated Distance: 808.40 miles
Thanks,

It's my understanding that the finals will be held July 1st and 2nd in the middle of the Junior Olympics.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info, Puckdropper.
Now I know why it is going to be tough for my son's coach (Adam of the SJ Pirates) to play in the finals for AIHL and try to coach a Midget team at NARCh. We ask so much of our coaches with sometimes little reward. Actually, there are lots of rewards many times, but I just wish they didn't have to suffer financially. Unfortunately, Toronto and NARCh is a tough one this year. Passport issues and so on. Sorry, this is probably a rant for a different post....

I recently did that drive in a much shorter amount of time (solo) and the return portion during a snow storm. It's not that bad of a drive, but not a fun on either. Good Luck, I know I would never be ready for a hockey game after the drive, but than again, I can't skate or play hockey anyway.

Ronnie from Georgia,
we should be running the web cam the entire time. Not sure if I can do 9 hours of play by play, but if I can I will do the play by play for one of the Georgia games.
It's the least I can do for one of my favorite AIHL logos.

I was watching some of the AIHL Eastern conference finals over the weekend. Any comments or reactions from anyone who was actually their? Crowd size, player moral & attitude, league reactions, etc. Basically, the stuff us diehard fans like to watch and witness.
The camera was difficult to watch, but the voice commentary was great. The camera didn't give you fan perspective, but what a great first effort. I think these guys are headed for bigger and better things with this league.

As long as the play was on the end where the camera was, it was great. Maybe setting up 2 cameras, one on each end, would make it a bit more watchable. Regardless, the commentary and live chat was nice. I wish I would have gotten to it earlier, but the last game and a half or so I was there for the finals was great.

There was some incredible hockey and play by play action this week end in Feasterville during the Eastern Conference Finals. This has been a great first year with more to come in the future.
