About Gwinnett (Georgia) Inline Hockey

------------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome to the GwinnettInlineHockey.com project!

The release of our site is in conjunction with the release of over 130,000 flyers to students across all of Gwinnett County, Georgia. This grass roots project has one simple goal -- to expose more youth of Georgia to the fast paced and wonderful world of inline hockey!

The real work is just beginning. Gwinnett County, Georgia was the first of some 17 counties that have inline facilities or teams that represent the sport in North Georgia. Our goal over the next year is to integrate as many of these counties into this site as possible. The end result, a one stop shop for all things inline hockey for the entire metro Atlanta area.

Great site! I 100% agree this is what the sport needs, and I am building goJoin.com to perform a similar task, and have it be nationwide. I wish you lots of luck!

BIG KUDOs on this program, Ronnie!

A centralized site for the area with age appropriate information to sources and providers demonstrates more than one dimensional thinking (apologies to Mr. Spock and his comments to Capt. Kirk in the Star Trek movie, Wrath of Khan).

I would be interested to learn more about the School Flyer, its costs, and the distribution of same in the inner-workings with the districts and schools. This type of program can be successfully applied in some, but not all areas. Glad to see that your group has found a way to make it work in your area.

What's key here, too, is the amount of effort and resources invested into "seeds" to grow new grass (roots) for the sport.

Keep up the great work and best of luck in all you do!

Ronnie,

Great site and very informative. This is exactly what our sport needs, feet on the street within our local communities.

Hat's off to all working on this project.

Thanks Jay and Mario for the kind words,

A lot of work has gone into this project just to get it off the ground and the guys are doing a great job! Most of the work is being done by the parents of middle school players, ground floor baby! We are taking small steps to begin and in the next few months we are going to widen our target zone to cover the entire metro Atlanta area.

We are still looking for more financial support, so please continue visiting the site and look who is on board, the list grows almost every day. We are asking inline hockey companies and other tournament series to please contact Bill Schriver ( [email protected] ) to be a part of this movement.

It is up to us to keep the sport growing, please do your part!
