Does anyone know any ways of finding a coach next year? We've placed an ad at the local rink, but haven't had any luck.

.our coach from the past year won't be at scranton next year..

Here is a good place to start.

I would also recommend the local ice and inline rinks in and around Scranton.

Also, taking out a newspaper add might cost a little bit of money but is a very effective way to spread the word to a good amount of people, plus, anything anyone can do to keep the newspapers in business is okay in my book.

hahaha...a bit of personal interest, maybe?

i agree 100% - there's still nothing that beats reading the WSJ with breakfast and reading the local paper before dinner

You can try a Local PIHA or AIHL team... guys at that level understand the game and should offer some good things to your team.

While there aren't any teams near Scranton, really, there are more than likely some players from that general area who play for some of those teams. Might be worth e-mailing the teams and asking them if they have anyone from that S-WB area

your uncle wade as in the guy whose the moderator of the team?

i don't believe wade was ever interested in coaching in years past so i didn't think it'd be a good idea to ask him.

I've had zero luck in this search to date. Not even a phone call or email back from a few people.:(

i wish i could help out but with playing piha and sunday leagues it not easy for me to get free time but if u need some help with some drills let me know i play on thursday nights in scranton i play for the goons team i am out of town till next friday but will be home after that .

so far we havent found a permanent head coach, only the guy above me posting that he could help out from time-to-time. I've placed ads in newspapers up in scranton,etc...to no luck.
