Hey guys-

One of my buddies is coming back from Iraq soon, and is stationed in the VA Beach area, can anyone help me out so I can give him the names and contacts of roller hockey rinks in the area?

Thanks,
Jesse

When i lived down there in 96 I played at an indoor rink(wood floor) and an outdoor rink. I think the indoor rink was haygood but I am not even sure about that.

There was an ice rink over by Greenbrier Mall that had a slab of tiled court down. It was where the Hampton Roads Destroyers played in the MLRH back in 2000-01. Not sure if they just drained one of the ponds and threw tiled court down or not... not even sure if the facility still exists.

the place by the mall is called Chilled Ponds...usually 2 ice rinks, but they convert i think one to roller in the summer. there is also the WISC in Williamsburg, a bit of a drive from VA Beach but a pretty good facility...hope this helps

The rink in Chesapeake is now all Ice and the WISC tore up the sport court so the only place left is in Suffolk. I forgot what its called but I think its a wood rink that has games on Monday nights. I hope that in the near future that another rink will be built somewhere between here in Williamsburg and VA Beach as there is a lot of top talent around this area that can't be exposed cause of lack of rinks. Just not the best situation right now unfortunatly around these areas.

p.s. if any tournament team is looking for a top notch goalie hit me up I'm looking around and can travel sometimes to tournaments.
