Hey everyone,
The Hofstra Roller Hockey team is sponsoring a jersey design contest for the team's 2009-2010 digs. Winners receive a real version of their concept. For more info, please go to http://www.ecrha.net/article.php?article_id=53463

Mostly because it gives you an opportunity to see something that you've designed become a reality, and some people just like having unique and different hockey jerseys. I know a ton of guys that have sweet looking European league jerseys that they wear for pickup or house leagues or whatever, and could barely pronounce the name of the team, much less tell you anything about it. If we wanted to just hand out cash, we could have easily paid someone to do it, but it's a bit of a sports marketing type promotion.

I will take an XL...#45
On a serious note, I think this is a cool idea and hopefully will get more people involved with and/or interested in some quality collegiate roller derby.

Another venue to try is: http://nhllogos.blogspot.com/
It's a blog all about NHL jerseys and logos, and lots of graphic designers visit the blog and will post submissions for jersey competitions. Not to take anything away from IHC, just trying to help you guys out to get more designs!

It's on Long Island. I'm assuming you've never been there, but they could fill the cast of the next season of 'Bromance' from an English 101 class.

For anyone interested, the final four on each side is now up at http://www.ecrha.net/article.php?article_id=53463
So, if the Beers beat Detroit and Denver beats Atlanta in the American Southwestern Division East Northern, then Milwaukee goes to the Denslow Cup, unless Baltimore can upset Buffalo and Charlotte ties Toronto, then Oakland would play LA and Pittsburgh in a blind choice round robin. And if no clear winner emerges from all of this, a two-man sack race will be held on consecutive Sundays until a champion can be crowned.

Home four is really sweet if done right. It would look good with sewn-on lettering.

Away 16 looks pretty cool. If you moved the lion over like under the rubcage on the side of the jersey that would be nasty
