too bad they couldn't rematch the ohio state university. it woulda been a much more interesting tournament but i think osu was afraid of getting pummeled in another "scrum".

Hmmmm.... why do I think I can predict the way this thread is going to go?

The Ohio State University had an early exit from the MCRHL Regionals by the always dangerous Eastern Michigan University. EMU wins 4 to 3 . Easterns goalie got hot and stood on his head and sent home OSU early to warm up the bus.

yeah OSU choked again what else is new?...i'm glad their coach had to stick around to see michigan state win back to back regional championships! gotta give it up to michigan also for making a run they had to beat eastern and osu

have to agree. Although I think msu would have waxed Osu if they played. After their awful performance against lindenwood msu has been on a whole different level, they look like they are on a misson.

Because almost every MCRHL related thread ends/begins with sh**talking?

It's all in good fun, it makes regional games that much more competitive.

That being said, MSU should be a unanimous #2 behind Lindenwood going into Nationals.

i'm sure there'll be another osu choke in nattys. hopefully their coach will stick around to watch the rest of the MCRHL teams work their way toward the top.

Congrats to State. Would love to see them give Lindenwood their best game in nationals. They are by far a better team than the 8-1 loss to them ealier this year. Also Michigan will be a team to look out for at Nationals. They have really turned it around when it mattered the most.

I don't know why people think this was a down year for the MCRHL. OSU, MSU, and Michigan are all good teams with very different styles of play.
The Bucks had a rough weekend in Pittsburgh, but people shouldn't be so fast to dismiss them. Other than the Lindenwood game MSU had a great inter-regional showing, and Michigan went undefeated in cross-regional play as well.

There were some great games at regionals this year. OSU-Eastern. OSU-Michigan. Even the championship game had some great hockey, although no MSU showed they were the better team.

Should be exciting in Philadelphia!

MCRHL is a strong region especially come the end of the season.

No one is really talking about them, but Central Michigan and Grand Valley put on a show in the D2 championship. Central is full of snipers, and Grand Valley is a deeeep team with some talented players and great goaltending.

Prediction: Grand Valley is potentially a Final 4 team, and CMU is potentially a National Championship contender.

Grand Valley is extremely deep and very organized. I was very impressed with what I saw when they came to St. Louis.

Central and Grand Valley are two different types of teams. I think Central is definitley a National Championship contender if their guys play up to the level they can and they have solid goaltending. Grand Valley has 2 teams that are very deep and they can do the same. These 2 teams are a toss up. GVSU's B team is a team that can creep up on you with their depth and are underrated in that category because their big gunners put them in position, then they try to outlast you.
