The Winter Wars events are OPEN to any team wishing to compete. We do have some rules that make these events a little different though. Our divisions are still based in single birth year divisions (although an older player may play "up") and every player on a roster must live in the same state or province.

We are very excited about our Winter Wars East event being held next weekend at the Sportsplex in Feasterville, PA. There are 91 teams competing over the weekend from: PA, NJ, NY, CT, MD, VA, NC, MI, MO, NC, TX, and even Ontario. There is also a 6under division featuring the awesome future of our sport from PA and NY, a 5 team 8under division, and even a 5 team womens division. Overall we are very happy with the competition we will have at Sportsplex.

We also will be holding our first "Hockey Fights Cancer" raffle there, where all proceeds will be donated to this great cause. Some awesome prizes like a signed Malkin jersey, signed Lidstrom stick, and signed Pronger stick will be raffled off.

For the Winter Wars East schedule or to follow game scores during the event, go to statewarshockey.com

I more than a little biased in this one but I gotta go with Maryland. Matt Beam is strong in net and hes supported by 4 strong D who wont give up to many chances. Its going to hurt not having Mike Gardner but I think we can make up for the missed offense. Anyone know what the rosters look like for the rest of the teams?

im sure team MO will be awesome... most of the stl pro guys

nj assault will have their PIHA team, plus the AIHL Wolves leading scorer, Gene Gsell

Hanuman have a pretty good with a few savage wolve players, plus their usual cast of good players, bobby beauchamp, jack phelan etc

Isca grizzlies should have most of their PIHA team present, always a challenge

those are the teams i know about

Team CT will be piniero, Russo, Jim miller, Giovanelli, and myself with some other blaze players.

The rest of the ants will be playing in AA.

we should all go to the bars before the games... That would make for some interesting hockey... Although your team has an unfair advantage with pinheiro I have no doubt he could play with a few in him... I've seen him play and single handidly beat the growl when he had a 102 fever and his ear was bleeding from an infection haha
