On behalf of the ECRHA, I would like to thank all the teams, parents and fans who attended the inter-regional event in Mt. Pleasant this past weekend. We sincerely hope that everyone arrives home safely! Sorry we couldn't control the cold and a few snow flurries but overall the weather held out for ease of travel...and after all it is Jan/Feb in Western PA! (Oh...but buses don't fair well on large ice patches!)

With a lot of great hockey, a Mission Hockey College and the hospitality of the great folks of Hot Shots Sports Arena, it was just awesome to feel the 'buzz' and excitement of having so many great teams representing four NCRHA regions under one roof during the regular season!

A big thanks to Mission Hockey for coming out with a great product set-up and the great giveaway's for some lucky players! John Scavelli from Penn State was pretty psyched to hear his name called for a pair of new Black Boss skates! (and Reskey decided it was a good idea to lose his SoCal warm weather shorts when the temp hit the 20 degree mark!)

Thanks also to Revision Hockey for offering the NCRHA's wheel deal through the Pro Shop, some giveaways and their information table. The only thing missing here was Nabeel - who is in Germany. Bummer.

We would also like to thank all the youth players and college player/instructors from Towson, Lindenwood and Ohio State and of course Coach Murphy who took part in yet another successful Mission Hockey College! More cool giveaway's from Mission for all the players and instructors along with some great T-shirts thanks to NARCh. The feeling you get from this special one hour clinic never gets old!

Again, thanks to everyone for making this a great event! Good Luck with the remainder of your season! Hope to see you at Nationals!

I want to second the notion...

WOW...that is pretty much all I can say. So much exciting hockey and outstanding finishes this weekend.

I have more game recaps and stats to post tomorrow once I get some sleep. Being at the rink from 8am-1:30am on Saturday was so much fun as there was always a good game going on.

Sunday was just as exciting even on 3 hours sleep. It nice to finally be home.

Whew...and I'll second that Bill! Lots of hours...but almost impossible to leave! Missed you at 5:30 am though...after 3 hours sleep.
That was pretty amazing too though. Rink staff opened up at 5:00 A.M. - four teams and coaches all dressing by 5:30, four officials, two time keepers AND the great Cafe' staff all raring to go! Game On at 6:00 A.M. with Lindenwood Gold vs. Michigan B and Neumann vs. George Mason kicking off on Sunday before the sun came up! Great Teamwork!

Thank you to the staff from the ECRHA (Nannette, Bill, Coach, all the Officials) = you done the ECRHA proud!

Also, hats off to all the teams that committed to some heavy duty trips - Lindenwood (10 Hour Bus Trip), UCF (Trip from Pittsburgh Airport to the rink took as long, if not longer, than their air flight), Michigan State, Michigan, Ohio State. You guys sacrificed a lot for people like me to have a great time watching some great teams with some great players.

Also, can't forget Nick and everyone at Hot Shots. GREAT RINK ! ! !

I wish I had made it out there for this event. But instead I got the pleasure of the watching the Capitals dissmantle Detroit and Ottawa.
