Searching for Pics of NHLers Playing Roller Hockey

Does anyone have a picture(s) of any NHL Players playing Roller Hockey that they could post on here. I often mention to ice parents different names of NHLers that played Roller Hockey. But I think it pretty much goes in one ear and out the other when it comes to this subject. ...If only I had pictures I could show them and hang up at the rink to prove it... If someone has a picture of Manny Legace playing in the RHI for the Toronto Planets that would be Freekin' Awesome !:D

It might help if you have a list of NHL players who participated in RHI, and then search them out on Google Images.

In addition to Manny Legace, here are a few names; IHC's readers can add many more:

Tiger Williams
Bryan Trottier
Radek Hamr
Joe Charbonneau
Glen Metropolit
Darren Langdon
Barry Potomski

I expect I'll have photos of some of those NHL/RHI players in the center section of my book on RHI, but I plan to finish the writing before I concentrate on that! Good luck. :cool:

Another couple names that I remember seeing pictures of NHLers on inlines are:

Bobby Ryan (obviously)
Eric Lindros
Manon Rheaume (if you consider her an NHLer)
Jeremy Roenigk
Pavel and Valeri Bure

I'm sure Rich can confirm this or not, but I believe Francois Lerouix played for the Orlando Surge and also for Pittsburgh Penguins back in the 90's.

And I believe I read a story about Dominick Hasek playing roller hockey over in the Czech Republic... and then getting into a fight and beating the snot out of a guy.

It's amazing the number of RHI/MLRH/NARCh Pro players that eventually made it up into the show. Do a little looking and you might find a couple there.

Lerg plays roller hockey every summer. He usually goes to NARCh with the MPH team. Last year he played on the Eschelon Pro team.

Aaron Asham played this past summer at Skate Safe, NY. - He showed up in all his Devils gear, and Gave away a pair of gloves. He couldn't skate well, but he Still scored 5 goals on 1 shift.
Glenn Healy played a little bit, about 15 years ago...

Keith Primeau came out on skates to support PA StateWars tryouts in Downingtown, PA. Nanette Houser gets the credit for organizing that, and I think there are pictures of him coasting around on skates and dangling children....

A lot Great Stuff here, Thanks for all of the replys.....You guys came up with some Great links, articles and pictures. Some of the players I knew about and some were pleasant surprises.....The Lundvquist picture was Great, it's kinda rare to find Goalies playing both. Roller Hockey is just too hard for them. (My son thought it was especially cool since he has a McFarlen statue of him).....Tyler, the Perron picture was Freakin' Awesome ! All the kids here is St. Louis, well everybody here knows who he his and to have that will help tremendously. My son Christian has that Projoy flame jersey that Perron's team is wearing, and he will be wearing it at his next ice hockey practice. I've already got 4 kids from his ice team playing Roller Hockey (it doesnt hurt that Christian's the leading goal scorer by over 20 goals on the team, all while being his first year on the ice). With of the the extra help I've recieved on here I should definitely be able to bring over more. THANKS AGAIN, AND KEEP EM COMING.

You're actually thinking of Matt Foy. Boyes came out to sign autographs and actually helped with a Skills Competition. Foy was on a team of friends and kind of took it easy until the playoffs. He is now in the St. Louis organization, but has been injured for most of the year with Peoria.

Kinda wierd that all the roller hockey guys seem to end up in St. Louis; Brad Boyes, Cam Stastny, Cam Janssen, Manny Legace, Ben Bishop, TJ Oshie, and David Perron just off the top of my head. Maybe that is why we are seeing a little bit of growth in the area.

It was Lindros, Dan Gratton, Vincent LeCavalier, Adam Graves, Oleg Tvedovsky, Pavel Bure and some names I can't remember who all appeared at the Bauer cup.

Alex Hicks played with the original Buffalo Stampede who won RHI hardware in the second year of the league. He went on to play for Pittsburgh and Anaheim. Don't forget Walt Podubny, Craig Coxe, Link Gaetz, Darren Langdon and a host of others who all played in the show and doubled in the RHI...

I remember Savo Mitrovic running Podubny and getting a Koho to the chin in the process...or Darren Langdon being tossed out of a game and going after referee Joe Masgowicz....

TJ Oshie for St. Louis is one for sure. He played quite a bit of roller back in the day including the National Jr. Festival and the USA Hockey Inline nationals.

Pat Maroon hasn't suited up for Philadelphia yet but I think he is playing for the Phantoms. He played roller as late as last years state wars and NARCh.
